No doubt race played a role in Martin’s death. Zimmerman likely would not have called the police about a white teenager — even a white teenager wearing a hoodie — walking back from a 7-Eleven. In the dark, I wonder if he could even tell he was black? On the 911 recording, Z did say "I think he is black."
Aside, this journalist is making an assumption that has been on the news is true, which has been a problem in this case.
