The GOP needs a new Governor in Florida. One with some backbone. And why did disturbances occur in Oakland over this? Just an excuse for destruction in the name of outrage. Do such participants think that the majority of the country will cower and yield to their demands? In reality, we'll just buy an extra case or two of ammo.

Either the Republicans select another candidate for 2014 or Florida ends up with a Democrat Governor. The choice is theirs. I voted for both Bondi and Scott when they ran. I won’t make that mistake again.

I voted for Governor Scott because I thought he was a conservative and because coming from a business background he would not your normal run of the mill, power hungry and step in line with the PC gestapo line of most politicians of either party. I was wrong
It won’t happen again. I won’t vote for him

Don’t leave out the role of the biggest instigator of injustice...Eric Holder. Holder actually went down to Florida and teamed up with Al Sharpton!!! to set the tone for possible racial violence. Read Andy McCarthy’s story in NRO about Holder’s disgusting behavior in the whole fiasco. The fricking attorney general of the United States actually took sides in a murder trial.

Oakland? You ask about Oakland.

East St. Louis, Oakland, Detroit, Newark, Gary, and dozens of other US cities are simply lost. Expect no less.

These cities are populated by parasites who feed off the producers. Their numbers grow and their demands increase. To use the popular vernacular, this dynamic is unsustainable. It will end badly.

The only thing an individual can do, at this point, is to get as far away from these hellholes as possible.

Most of the article is just fine - except this:

I don’t blame the race-baiters. This is their nature. It is what they do.

That's the soft bigotry of low expectations. Let's not be giving them a pass.

And the travesty isn't over. Next up, the DOJ and more demonstrations and demands for Federal action. Civil Suits are also in the offing. Harry Reid has injected himself into this stew pot and called for a Federal indictment, as well. The mechanisms of the political state and judicial systems will be used collectively to assure that Zimmerman is destroyed, never mind any evidence.

No, it's recognition of the character of social privateers. Race is merely the qualifier.

The GOP needs a housecleaning of these turds.

IMO they are Traitors. I would hang them if it were up to me.

I will argue the opposite side.

While there was inadequate evidence for conviction and seeming justification for the charges brought, once the hoopla began, a trial was mandatory. The trial served a very historic and useful purpose. The trial and the increased hoopla convinced the liberal press and most Americans that GZ was innocent.

Many in the MSM were ahead of the jury and announced acquittal was likely. The press realized their cause was lost before the verdict. The actual verdict was in effect predetermined.

Had there not have been a trial, the issue would never been settled and the resultant turmoil could have been very nasty.

I will not be critical of the Governor for playing chess rather than checkers. He looked ahead and made a decision many moves ahead of those here who are critical of his party rather than his foresight

Rick Scott was and is a Coward. He sacrificed George Zimmerman on the altar of political correctness to save his own political career.

How many Republicans in positions of power came to GZ’s defense?

The whole Republican establishment is a cadre of Cowards. It is no wonder America is racing down the road to hell. We have no one in power who will stand up to tyranny.

He was instrumental in the removal of the Sanford Police Chief. The whole episode in intervention by the governor stinks.

He knew full well that Angela Corey was an incompetent headline grabbing opportunist.

He wasn’t governor-enough to ignore the race pimps, but caved in to their pressure.

Has Allen West recanted his original statements on the case?

I hope his groupies don't give him a pass.
