Protests are spreading across the country today following the sensational not-guilty verdict for George Zimmerman after he shot dead teenager Trayvon Martin.
Demonstrations, from Florida where the trial took place to Atlanta, DC and New York, have remained largely peaceful--although pockets of violence had erupted in Oakland, California.
Emotional crowds carried signs calling for justice as police assembled close by to monitor activity - a New York march culminated with a group of thousands gathering in Times Square before continuing towards Harlem as Sunday night wore on and Los Angeles protestors blocked a city freeway as they took their anger with Saturday's verdict to the streets.

Sorry, but this notion that protests are erupting all over the country is complete and utter B.S. In fact, the MSM and Dems were disappointed that this ruling came on the weekend and not Monday.

They are trying to incite violence against Caucasians and Hispanics.
Their stupid “reporter” (and writer) said that a “minority” woman in a certain county didn’t want her child to play outside for fear of his life after this verdict-—!!!!!!
I thought maybe they’d like to do some research before George Zimmerman’s attorney SUES THEM as well as NBC.
How many black youths are shot dead in big cities like Chicago EVERY YEAR?
I do not see Sharpton & Jackson marching for that mayhem.
But Zimmerman who spent time mentoring black kids is a villain because he is not black.
I suppose this is a better reaction than that after the Rodney King verdict or after MLK was shot. I hope the next time we get a case like this, the reaction is to respect the Jury’s verdict.

I’m starting to think that a majority of the blacks in this country KNOW Trayvon was a thug and they don’t want their kids doing it. There are a lot of good black kids out there.
YES, and someone who is Black and prominent needs to state just that....and start REWARDING being GOOD...instead of rewarding the thugs, ie, think sports, etc.

Was talking with my neighbor about it tonight and he swears he not only watched every minute of the trial but taped it so he could watch it again. His conclusion - Zimmerman should have gotten the death penalty or life in prison. The neighbor is not Black and based on my brief encounters with him in the past it not dumb. He did, however, vote for Obama both times and kept referring to the “dumb women” on the jury who would have been better off to have stayed home and done “women’s work”.

Sounds about right. Even though some media folks are trying desperately to whip something up, nobody seems to be buying. Glad to see most people are more level headed than they are told they are.
Don’t be distracted. The Federal government is going to use sleight of hand, to keep our attention focussed on riots and demonstrations like the ones in Oakland, San Francisco and elsewhere, to try and give Boehner and Cantor breathing room to force amnesty for illegal aliens down our throats. DON’T LET THEM DO THIS!!
How hypocritical of the media to say they didn’t report these incidents in order to tamper racial violence. Say what? That’s exactly what they did with the Zimmerman case. The stations giving this case wall-to-wall coverage and misleading information all need to be sued - and that includes Fox if they participated. I don’t watch any of the news channels so I’m not aware if Fox did or did not encourage the hostilities.
