"Sadly, all the facts in this tragic case will probably never be known," Bloomberg said in a prepared statement Sunday. "But one fact has long been crystal clear: 'shoot first' laws like those in Florida can inspire dangerous vigilantism and protect those who act recklessly with guns."
He blamed "gun lobby extremists in Washington" for drafting the laws and said the legislation lets armed citizens think it's OK to shoot first and later defend themselves on the grounds that it was a justifiable homicide."
Bloomberg touted his work with other civic leaders on the issue and said they are seeking to eliminate such laws in Florida and elsewhere: "The tragic death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed child attempting to walk home from the store, will continue to drive our efforts," he said.

I have often recently thought this.
I remember seeing a video of Saddam Hussien, when he took power, calling out names and telling them how they betrayed him, then having them taken outside and executed.
I used to not be able to make the connection that someone could do this in any situation. It didn’t seem in any way, shape or form a reasonable resolution.
These days I often wonder if I would care if that happened to the political leaders of the Left(whether democrat or republican)
I am pretty sure it wouldn’t hurt this country if it happened.
I feel I am a reasonable guy but there are things that they do and say that make me want to start snapping necks.

Oh Mayor Bloomberg, it is “stand your ground law”, but then again, he has no idea what it is all about.
Tragedies occur every day in inner cities throughout the nation, and they don’t occur because we don’t have enough laws on the books. They occur because we are failing as a society to pass on virtue and respect for life.
Tell me what rules Bloomberg’s security detail is operating under.
The total silliness in all of this is the oft repeated claim/inference that Zimmerman was the aggressor. All of the evidence points toward Martin starting the fight, and being in the process of delivering a beating on Zimmerman, up to the point when he got shot.
If people don't want to get shot dead, they should first and foremost not assault other people.
Nothing Zimmerman did, nor even anything they claimed he did warrants an assault.
Note to all young thug-wanta-be types: It is not OK to assault someone just because you think they are a creepy-ass-cracker, or because you are feeling dissed. Doing so might result in your being dead within seconds.
