Imagine the shock it was to him - however fleeting - to find out there WAS a limit.

Yes, the media has hidden that fact. The media has hidden a number of facts.

What about the burglary tool found near the apartment Travon was casing? The father being a Crips gang member? Sabrina giving away her baby to Tracy’s girlfriend for her to raise? (did she lose custody because of a drug problem?) Tracy’s multiple girlfriends? Tracy’s many lies? 53 days truant in less than a year? the fight club? his drug dealing? his love of sucker punching in the fight club and wanting to see more blood? the stolen jewelry in his backpack with a burglary tool? the liver damage caused by drugs? purple drank? on and on

But he clearly thought he was in great danger

And, in the end, I believe this was the deciding factor. The jury asked itself if it was reasonable for George Zimmerman to believe his life was in danger? The answer was absolutely, yes.

I have been thinking about this since this trial began and the facts (not media conjecture, but facts) started coming out. Trayvon Martin was the aggressor in this case, not Zimmerman. When I think about Martin punching Zimmerman in the nose, then knocking him down on the ground and sitting on top of him; it occurred to me that Zimmerman would probably have had a hard time breathing at that point. So, you are overweight, down on the ground, someone sitting on your chest and your nose has just been broken so that you are having a hard time breathing. You are being relentlessly pummeled. What do you think? Would you believe your life was in danger? I certainly would have.
