In the wake of the George Zimmerman verdict, P. Diddy, Big Boi, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes and countless other rappers are blasting America as racist or worse.
Rapper Lupe Fiasco is taking a very different tack. He suggests, first, that there is reasonable doubt about what happened between George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.
He notes that most perpetrators of violent crime against black people are themselves black.
The true enemy of black Americans is not the George Zimmermans of the world, he argues, but “complacency and cowardice” in the black community.
Unsurprisingly, this didn’t go down well with some Twitter users:

Problem is the people only get stirred up by interracial crime ....and.....But the vast majority of interracial crime is done by blacks as in rape, murder assault, bodily injury done to whites////////only rarely is it the other way around. When are black women ever being raped by white men? Or white men in prison raping black prisoners?? But the reverse is an epidemic
No matter what is said, blacks will assume a herd mentality and protect the very thugs that are preying upon them in some crazy black identity “solidarity” based solely on skin color. It doesn’t matter how big a gangster, murder, rapist, or thug this black guy is, he will be defended by other blacks as a persecuted “brother”.
Nothing will change until blacks give up this victim identity they love to wallow in and flash at the first sign of criticism. Blacks love corrupt blacks who rise to power in politics because they see it as a way to steal from other people under the color of law.
In short, the majority of blacks are either duped sheep or feral barbarians. This will not change any time soon. The cancer infecting the black community is too strongly entrenched for a cure.
The NRA was basically founded by northern preachers to arm blacks in the south so they could defend themselves against the KKK.
