The main lawyer representing the family of Trayvon Martin in the George Zimmerman murder trial said on Saturday that it was “offensive” that defense attorney Mark O’Mara had launched personal attacks on him in an interview with CNN.
“It’s somewhat offensive when you think about personal attacks,” the lawyer, Benjamin Crump, told CNN in an interview. “I have never personally attacked attorney Mark O’Mara or any other lawyers in this matter.”
In an interview aired earlier on Saturday, O’Mara said his client would have never been on trial if he had not been “victimized” by Crump and other Martin family attorneys.
"They victimized him," O’Mara said. "George Zimmerman was victimized by a publicity campaign to smear him, to call him a racist when he wasn't, and to call him a murderer when he wasn't."
“Respectfully to attorney O’Mara,” Crump began in his response, “they seem to just disregard the fact that Trayvon Martin was just walking home from the store, when he was profiled and pursued and followed by his client for whatever reason.
“We will never know — I don’t know if George Zimmerman is a racist or not — but he profiled Trayvon Martin for something, whether the way he looked or this ethnicity,” Crump added. “We will never know, but I know that he got out of his car. He made the decision to pursue Trayvon Martin.....

It’s okay for Eric Holder’s people to engage in character assassination, but it’s “offensive” when the target returns the favor.
I’m sure the Zimmermans feel the same about the prosecution. That’s how it usually works.
Crump...at minimum should be disbarred, if not in prision for perjury....

Though civil rights demonstrators have argued Zimmerman should not have prejudged Martin, one black neighbor of the Zimmermans said recent history should be taken into account. "Let's talk about the elephant in the room. I'm black, OK?" the woman said, declining to be identified because she anticipated backlash due to her race. She leaned in to look a reporter directly in the eyes. "There were black boys robbing houses in this neighborhood," she said. "That's why George was suspicious of Trayvon Martin."
The 911 tapes, the physical evidence, the eyewitness, all support GZ defending himself from attack. There is not one thing that supports GZ attacking TM.
If you are black it is okay to lie. Heck, it is okay to assault a neighborhood watch volunteer.
I agree. Unfortunately, it is probably more likely that he will find himself with a cushy job either at the White House or one of the state run media networks. he'll come out of this a hero guaranteed.

Unfortunately, that is correct. Since blacks are an officially recognized aggrieved group, they are allowed to say and do things which others are not permitted to do.
