the Affordable Care Act has a new, high profile set of dissenters: Unions.
The leaders of three major U.S. unions, including the highly influential Teamsters, have sent a scathing open letter to Democratic leaders in Congress, warning that unless changes are made, President Obamas health care reform plan will destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.
If thats not bad enough, the Affordable Care Act, if not modified, will destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans,

Oh well.
why don’t these lib pukes just ask for an exemption like the rest of the Dem donor companies?
Apology accepted.
This is especially directed to the unionista who told me I was racist for opposing obamacare a few years ago.
The exemptions are only good for a period of time, then it disappears.

Changes like a waiver for union members, maybe?
Only when his ox is gored.
God keeps on clobbering the Democrats with the consequences of their own foolish ways and yet they will not concede “It is useless!”
Not that the GOP is terribly far behind, although at this point they are, yes, still behind in the race towards evil.
Anybody know ... if you work part time for a unionized company, do you still have to join the union?
As if anyone cared about the law, ‘hide? When Barack can singlehandedly go off the Obamacare schedule specified in the PPACA and the Congress just sits there with their mouths open as if in a stupor, surely an indefinite waiver is a very small thing for this Emperor to do?
I’d think yes, but someone surely has an official answer.
Obama Care was never about improving the health care of working people.
It was about taking money that workers currently spend on their own health care and redistributing those health care dollars to other people who are not working
Of course, this means worse health care for everyone
I actually figured the 30 hour workweek was something the unions wanted in there.
Anything over 30 is overtime.
Doesn’t your heart just bleed for these Union pukes who got what they asked for when they voted Democrat?
The answer to the unions should be “no”. They agitated for the law, lobbied for the law. Like any drug user, the American people to feel real consequences before pulling their heads out of their collective a**es. Obamacare should be implemented completely, in its fully glory. Let.It.Burn.
If someone can tot up the Brobdingnagian numbers (I always wanted to use that word) it surely will be seen that it would have been cheaper and easier to just issue mini-med plans (if not the full monte) to the welfare set.
In the larger picture, America is being tested by evil. The constitutional system it was bequeathed will only work where most people actually care about keeping promises. Barack doesn’t; he’s the most consummate liar to sit in the Oval Office to date. God is endeavoring to force America back to the gospel. Will this succeed? I am not privy to the plans. But I pray it will, and that out of this morass of evil will come another great awakening, but one that is not marked by theological gimmick (God can minister around gimmicks if He has to, but then their residue has to be cleared away afterwards or else prove a stumbling block for the future).
