An unidentified man was hospitalized with a massive head injury Friday following an apparent bias-fueled attack in the West Village, witnesses and officials said. Witnesses on Greenwich Ave. near W. 12th St. said the white man who cops said is in his 30s was belting back beers outside Bennys Burritos about 5:30 p.m. when he began mouthing off to a black customer in the outdoor seating area.
You n-----s are why I lost my job, witnesses overheard the man say.
Outraged, the black man punched the bigoted boozer, sending him reeling backward onto the rain-slick sidewalk.
The mans head cracked open on the concrete, said one witness who did not want to be named.

It was a yes no question.
You repeatedly evaded the question.
I know why and so do you.
Well stated.
A bad ass dude who ran off and left his girlfriend to fight the bigot’s friends. ha!
I just happened on this thread from “latest posts” and it is mindboggling how many people think beating someone is a normal, rational and just reaction to an insult.
No wonder we’re in the speed train handbasket to hell.
So name calling is a reason for assaulting someone?
I’m sure I do deserve it, but not for anything I’ve posted here today.
Read my post #54 and be aware that statements and actions have consequences so if you do decide to “pop me good”, don’t be surprised if I pop back.
Your judgement, rational thinking and moral compasses are all way out of whack.
Will all of you people who keep commenting on my post #4 please read my post #54, If you still have problems with what I say please post away.
I’m just responding to those who say the guy got what he deserved. The prosecution says Martin feared for his life. (I know they don’t know what he was thinking) Assuming that’s true, did he have the right to punch Zimmerman. I say “Yes”. But I don’t believe that’s true. Therefore I don’t believe Martin or this guy in the bar had the right or justification to punch a drunk.
And yet there are people out here who want to riot because someone got shot to death because the dead person decided to physically attack another because they were being followed or looked at and or did not like a word that was said.
This is NOT a reason to physically attack someone....
And who defines ‘idiotic,” and isn't speech a protected right? I can say what I want, express myself, but yet if I offend someone then I am at fault. See just how easily your standard can be abused. . .look up campus speech codes.
Deliberate or not, the man has the right to offensive speech. . .that is the purpose of the First Amendment.
“...maybe then some people would learn some manners.”
Toe the politically correct non-offensive line. . .or else.
Civilized behavior, civilized speech is the goal. . used to be called being a good citizen. However, with all the self-esteem brainwashing going on, especially among black males, then any perceived ‘diss’ resulting in a physical smack-down is good to go. Being 'dissed' and responding violently to that diss is excused as an appropriate response. A drunk says something offensive and he can be attacked. . .like some drunk you don't know really is someone to take seriously..
How about this, words when uttered by a drunk are just that. . .words uttered by a drunk and unless you hold that drunks opinion in high regard, then why be bothered by a drunks words? Makes no sense.
Offended? Big deal. The guys a drunk after all and smacking down a drunk is no big thing. . .and may even be considered a cowardly act because the drunk is not in exactly the best of condition to defend himself.
Losing a wife is not uncommon among men who lose their job at Goldman.
” black man almost killing a white man over some words is a happy ending? Really?”
ANY man almost killing......!
That was my reply to you. Although I would not be OK with the serious bodily injury YES I would be OK with him getting his butt kicked for being an obnoxious jerk. Hopefully he would learn from it and not continue to be obnoxious jer
Ya can't put the bullet back in the gun...
The Internet makes a great witness.
You made your position quite clear.
Yes, the rule of law is dying out as a concept of justice and is being replaced by might makes right. The people decided to re-elect an utterly lawless president so this fish is quickly rotting from the head down now.
I stand by my position
“When Reddish saw that the drunken man was bleeding profusely he fled the scene, leaving his girlfriend at the restaurant, cops said”
Such a man.
So if your kid happens to get drunk, and calls someone a name, is it OK with you if that person physically attacks them causing them serious injury?
Yes or no?
I don’t want your wordy convoluted evasive response.
