Perhaps no other politician enjoys the cross-party likability that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is sporting these days. And thats why he may just be the key to the Republican Party repairing its brand in the coming years.
[...]
But if Christies numbers hold up over time, it will be hard to argue there is a better ambassador for the GOP to expand its reach. And the power of the electability argument that Christie would be able to make in the 2016 primary shouldnt be underestimated. Washington Post-ABC News polling consistently showed Republicans felt in the 2012 primary that Mitt Romney had the best shot in the general election.

I wonder if voter turnout would slide below 50% in a Clinton-Christie match up, as it nearly did in Obama- Romney?
Get lost, Christie.
Always check the premise used to present their favored candidates.
Remember, that both the demonrats and the GOPe are the same party, but they need you to buy into the illusion that they are separate.
It's the political version of the good cop/bad cop game they use to always make us choose evil or "lesser" evil. Slick, huh?
Those "two" parties are united in their fight against the rising TEA party type candidates.
All of their propaganda is geared to make you see the TEA party types as the enemy of both the GOPe and the demonrat party factions of their one world party, Big Money political machine.
"The Big Money"
Big money goes around the world
Big money give and take
Big money done a power of good
Big money make mistakes
Big money got a heavy hand
Big money take control
Big money got a mean streak
Big money got no soul...
Screw Christie and the eGOP.
And when he loses, the WaPo will have stories about him not being moderate enough.
After amnesty I would rather see Christie then Ryan, Rubio or Jeb. We may disagree with Christie but atleast he doesnt stab us in the back. But I think there are others we can get behind then Chris Christie.
Dude!
If the republicans would just run democrat candidates, we could all be one, big, happy family!
And the fundamental transformation from Christian valued republic to anti-Christian socialist police state could proceed apace without interference.
So why don’t you Americans roll over, forget God and liberty, and let us Christ hating Marx lovers take over?
There! Translated for the average reader.
The stupid part strikes again.
The last election was the republicans last chance with their base....there will be either a take over of the party by the base this election or a new 3rd party with that base.
“Perhaps no other politician enjoys the cross-party likability that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is sporting these days”
Typical Democrat voter: “Cristie? Yeah, I LIKE the guy! Vote for him? NO WAY! Hillary or Biden or any Kennedy reasonably sober at the moment, or any Hollywood liberal running. But VOTE FOR Christie? Get real!”
V-O-M-I-T
Oh Yeh Crispy Kreme will save the GOP. He may help Hildebeast over the top as her running mate in 2016.
If the GOP would stop being so intransigent and just kiss President Opie’s arse on national TV like Christie did their troubles would evaporate.
How? By wedging himself in a door and not allowing them to pass?
Chris Christie is a liberal rino. I’m not just calling names. His positions on issues makes him a liberal rino.
Anyone who thinks that the conservative base will support Christie is simply trying to find a way to split the vote again.
Oh, I was told here that the GOPe is a figment of my imagination (LOL).
Chris Cristie knows his limitations. Without “belly band surgery” which makes him vomit a little any time he tries to eat more than about two tablespoons... he knew that he would continue to be a glutton. Now that gives us something that we can all agree with him about.
NO! NO! NO!
