"Geraldo slamming state for withholding evidence! “This is a big scandal!” "Perhaps he will have a show on the uncovering of said evidence."

I just heard a news brief that the defense was given the information. If that is true, West sure made a fool of himself in his rant that they had not received it.

Yes, the defense received the information...a month ago...not nearly enough time to use it, is my understanding of the situation. The judge said each call or text would have to be verified because any 7 year old could have picked up T's phone and made calls or texts.

What is your news source? There was never a question during the trial about whether the defense received the cell phone info. It was the extraordinary delay that precluded adequate analysis and preparation for the trial. In fact, when defense finally received the info, they requested a court delay to further prepare--and it was denied.

The defense was given the binary file, which they had to hire experts to decode and read the info. It seems the state’s experts did break the code and they never passed on the information, hoping the defense would never be able to get to read the texts and see the pictures hidden within. There is also speculation that someone other than Trayvon hid all this, because the only information hidden was the incriminating texts and pictures, but porn was left out. This reeks of deceit.

In addition, the state employed tech who got the info out of the phone contacted a lawyer about what he should do because he knew the state was keeping info from the defense. The lawyer then asked the defense if they got the info, they had not. The tech was suspended with pay until the case went to the jury at which time he was fired.
