I heard what sounded like gunfire, ran to the window, the guy across the way was shooting off sparkling, glorious fireworks way up in the sky.

Five minutes later, fireworks were going off all around my subdivision, plus I could see them going off in numberous sites around the horizon.

Must be Zimmerman country around here, LOL.
