I OCd to Starbucks today even though I usually CC in the summer.
Any idea how far the 7-11 is from the location where the fight took place? Walking at an unhurried pace a human can cover about 3 miles an hour, so Martin if he were just going home would have needed the 7-11 to be 2+ miles away from that site.
The police happened to find a Slim Jim burglary tool in the bushes where GZ said he saw Martin hanging out

Why should not the clean hands doctrine have barred such a lawsuit? Is the argument that if the cameras had been working, the place might have gotten a reputation as a place where burglars get caught, and TM might consequently not have been trying to case the houses in the area and thus never had occasion to take offense at GZ's apparent suspicion of him? The only person whom cameras could have helped would have been GZ.

I do wish more would have been brought out about the ‘slim jim’. It just popped in and then popped out and no real info was offered.
If not, that entire community should pay for his legal fees at the least and put a bronze statue of GZ at the entrance at the most.
Never apologize for honest intent. Despite the remarks (which were just a way of keeping occupied until/if the jury comes back) there isn't any confusion. Just a little work in getting the audience seated.
So do we need to get everybody else over here? I don’t think everybody’s coffee has kicked in yet this AM.
I almost wonder if an innocent person would be better off with a Russian jury there than in FL now, as the state is so liberal politicized.

I posted this last night on Uncle Chip’s thread, its how I feel and I got a lot of support and good comments not to let this all get to me to change my values about all black people. I am wondering how other people are dealing with their feelings during the recent years when racial animosity has skyrocketed:
I hope that aquittal comes in and Zimmerman goes to Peru also.
I so identify with Zimmerman. I have been a strong proponent
of racial equality in this country my whole life.
I now feel betrayed. Horribly betrayed as a white person who has stood up for Blacks my whole life. And here was a wonderful man who tutored black children and stood up for a Black man who had been unjustly treated in Sanford, even handing out flyers to Black churches asking for support for that man. A caring person.
Where are those Black families now to support Zimmerman when the raging mob is lynching him in court.?
Where is the honesty now and the “equality”?
So, after my whole life of being in support of Blacks being treated equally and justly...now I am just another “creepy ass cracker”. Its ‘them” against me. I may work with Blacks, live in the same neighborhood, shop in the same stores....but, if I am ever in a situation like Zimmerman, their hate will turn against me just as they have turned against Zimmerman in Sanford.
I realized finally tonight...
The trust between me and Blacks is broken...That is my reality now. And I am angry at the Blacks for betraying Zimmerman and by extension, me too.
