Somalia, with a history of repressing journalism, has set the minimum age at 40 for anyone intending to practice as a journalist in the country.
In total, 22 journalists have lost their lives in Somalia this year.
Somalias fledgling government has come under criticism for increasingly autocratic rule since its historic recognition by the US and International Monetary Fund last year.

It may not be as bad as shutting out young folks from the profession. Perhaps this ruling was coupled with an edict that all those of age 18 to 39 yesterday, are hereby decreed to be 40 today.
Oh, and underwear MUST be worn in-side out. You’ll have to wear it on the outside, so it may be checked...
I remember many studies that show that people become more conservative as they age....
So in that regard, maybe this is not a bad idea....

With the life expectancy in Somalia so low, this will disqualify almost everybody.
