It may be difficult for “liberal” thinkers to comprehend, but our nation was founded by a very religious people. It’s been forgotten by godless liberals, but morals and traditional values were considered “self-evident truth” by our founding generation. For example, it was understood that our rights were not handed down by government, our UNALIENABLE rights are bestowed upon us by our Creator, GOD, and neither man nor government can deprive us of same.
Our rights are not defined in the constitution nor confined by it, nor should they be. The constitution defines the way our government is established and how it operates, and severely limits and restricts its powers to just those actually enumerated.
Marriage is NOT a constitutional matter. It was not defined or established by the constitution. Marriage between man and woman is a gift from God and has been in existence long before there were any governments at all. Government has no business and no constitutional authority to force immoral, unnatural homosexualism on a moral people.
This is a self-evident truth and is not up for debate, negotiation or compromise on FR. That’s just the way it is. Those who don’t like it or can’t live with it are free to take their business elsewhere.
