This is a link to a YouTube video of the judge in the Zimmerman case acting with prejudice against Zimmerman. It is a must watch.

While I find the behavior of this judge unprofessional and out of line, I was watching Judge Janine on Fox yesterday, and she totally defended the judge. She said because the defense was so close to resting their case, it was the duty of the judge to make sure the defendant knew they had the option of testifying, because sometimes, the defense counsel would keep the defendant from being able to to do...so she was saying this judge was right to do what she did.
I’ve listened to Judge Janine on a lot of stuff and she’s usually spot on...so I’m not sure what to take of her input on this. I’d think as a judge, she’d know, but defending such rude (and seemingly biased) behavior from a judge? ....not sure
When have they paid a penalty for rioting? Usually it results in more govt. handouts for The Community. And more "dialogue".
Now blacks will be looked at MUCH, MUCH better if they DON'T RIOT....we'll see. Obama has set race relations back 40 years.
Disagree. He's moved it to the next logical progression. Hating Whitey has been very profitable.
This makes me glad there are cameras in the court room, because that’s Zimmerman’s only evidence of all of this for a mistrial / appeal later, if he’s found guilty.
I hope they have something similar in Florida because this judge certainly needs to sweat for her gross impartiality and interference with Zimmerman’s defense.
>>Do I hear MISTRIAL?<<
I know if I were on trial, that exchange would be something to pocket for a rainy day.
I think the Judge is keenly aware of the repercussions of this case, and is doing everything she can to come across as being enlightened and not racist. Yet, I believe, time and history will call her bluff and her actions will be seen for what they are.
** Blacks are going to look horrible if they RIOT if he is acquitted**
Meanwhile, an hispanic man is shot and killed by a black man in FL:

How Judges Are Disciplined for Misconduct
The Judicial Qualifications Commission is an independent agency created by the Florida Constitution solely to investigate alleged misconduct by Florida state judges. It is not a part of the Florida Supreme Court or the state courts and operates under rules it establishes for itself. It has its own Website. The JQC has no authority over federal judges or judges in other states. Complaints against state judges must be filed in writing with the JQC, not with the Supreme Court or any other state court or judge. Neither the Supreme Court nor its Chief Justice have any authority to investigate alleged misconduct by state judges or to investigate the JQC. The JQC can be reached via the Contact Information on its website or at at:
Judicial Qualifications Commission 1110 Thomasville Road Tallahassee, FL 32303 Phone (850) 488-1581
Understood, my concern is if and how she may present that info to the jury. If she does it in a manner that hints that “he is hiding something...” then all bets are off in my book.
Exactly. This judge is badly in need of “guidance”. Just makes me wonder how she behaves when there is no camera there.
I have been saying that it isn’t uncustomary for a judge to ask a question like this, to get it on the record so a defendant can’t use his/her non-testimony as grounds for a retrial.
Then I watched this video, and it was surrealistic the lengths to which this judge went to, to push her point. I’m not qualified to say if she was totally off base or not, but from a layman’s point of view, this seems inappropriate and excessive.
She tipped her hand as to how inappropriate it was, by telegraphing that Zimmerman still had time to decide if he wanted to testify or not. She also seemed to be somewhat abusive by asking if he thought he could decide by the end of the day, after two more people had testified.
Why the bum’s rush here? Seems to me the appropriate time to ask this question, was at the end of the defense presentation, when a decision would have to be made by.
One of the attorneys made the same point. This isn’t the appropriate time your honor.
I’m not sure this woman is evil more than incompetent though. She should have known better than to do this. I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets some form of reprimand for this.
Sadly, you're right. What has society de-evolved into?
I haven’t followed the trial on TV, but this morning I happened to catch some of the defense lawyer’s closing arguments. When he mentioned that all the robberies in the neighborhood were pulled off by black males, the judge visibly started; her eyes narrowed and she began looking quickly from the lawyer to the jury, and back again. That fat toad wanted desperately to open her mouth.
Absolutely! He should not have played along with her insidious little game.
