"White Hispanics," "Creepy-Ass Crackers," "Teenage Mammies," and "Suspicious A--holes who always get away" -- that is the vernacular of the George Zimmerman trial.
George Zimmerman faces life in jail as a jury considers second-degree murder charges against him for killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. But thanks to the media he is already sentenced to life in the American public's mind as a racist.
NBC edited a tape of Zimmerman’s call to police as he was following Martin to make him appear to be focused on Martin’s race.
The New York Times has referred to him in unique racial terms as a “white Hispanic." The terminology was necessary to have the story fit into a well-worn news narrative throughout American history from the Scottsboro Boys to Emmett Till to Rodney King – the black victim of white racism. Hispanic people can be as racist as black or white people in a country with a deep history of racism. But, apparently for the Times, Zimmerman's whiteness was important. It fit their good versus evil tale of a white racist killing an innocent black man.....

What would you do if you looked in your backyard tonight, and it was dark and rainy and someone was walking around?
World you find that ‘suspicious activity’ and call the police?
I understand that he was attacked and he defended himself in a legal manner, I’m just saying he could have played it smarter.
Here’s what I think happened: Trayvon saw Z checking him out and it angered him. At some point, instead of going home, Trayvon decided he was going to kick Zimmerman’s butt. When the opportunity arrived, he pounced on Z. Trayvon apparently didn’t count on Z having a gun. Whopps!!
One thing I wonder, though. Had Z not had a gun, would he still have had the guts to get out of his car? My guess is no.
Let’s keep doing this thought experiment for the heck of it and assume Z would still have got out of his car even without a gun and that he was attacked in the same manner. Do you think Trayvon would have beat Z to death right there on that sidewalk?...or was he just going to give him a good a$$-kicking? I bet he was just going to give Z a good-old-fashioned beat dowwn.
But that’s all speculation, isn’t it?
Trayvon was going MMA on Z and Z did what any reasonable person would have done in the same situation. In my opinion, this is a classic case of self defense...which could have been avoided if Z had played it smarter.
Anyone who refers to Zimmerman talking to a ‘911 dispatcher’ is either 1) willfully ignorant or 2) deliberately lying.

GZ might not have gotten out of his car without the gun
TM might be alive if he walked up and said “hello”
I would bet good money TM told Rachel he was going to kick some creepy white cracka’ ass for following him before he put his phone in his pocket, and I bet even more she told him to go for it
