San Francisco has been trying to clean the stench of urine from its streets, an aroma that in several neighborhoods serves as a daily reminder of the failure of a quality of life law passed more than a decade ago.
The Department of Public Works received some 5,600 requests from business and residential property owners in the first half of 2013 to have sidewalks steam cleaned, primarily, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, to deal with human waste, despite countless citations issued by police under a 2002 law banning public urination.

Urine is pretty low on my list of things I fear finding on San Francisco’s sidewalks ;-)
Vote repeatedly to allow depravity on a massive scale.
Get upset when you’re surrounded by depravity.
Pass a law to try and ban some depravity you don’t like.
Get more upset when depraved humans ignore your law.
Yeah, no sympathy. May they be surrounded by the stench of their poor choices till their dying day.
I work for. French company, and I can tell you that France does this EVERY Night. If not, there would be no vacationers to Paris.
I hate iPads determining what to write for me!
Ah, San Francisco, the city on the bay....of piss.
They turned the city into a toilet, and they’re shocked when the denizens treat it like one.
The 'street people' at every corner jumping into the intersections when the traffic stopped at the lights to smearily "clean" your windshield then agressively demand money (undisturbed by the local LEOs), the overwhelming aroma of urine and feces wafting through the air on hot summer days (and a few winter ones as well), and the mayor of the city declaring that the street thugs had more rights than the citizens being assaulted on a daily basis finally forced a decision to never again go there for any reason, nor support any business based there.
Honestly, I have been in third-world countries that were more decent than San Fran has become. Even Mombasa, Kenya, had more class. Despite the constant aroma smell of animal feces on everything.

Didn’t Journey do a song about that?
I do find fascinating how liberals, in their lust to ban behaviors they don’t like (such as smoking tobacco, eating meat, having fun) always think somehow that if they pass an ordinance to ban something that it will somehow stop happening.
Very fitting for that sewer of a city. What a dump.
That's odd, because homeless drug-addicts are usually so scrupulous about not being cited by police....
Start throwing some bleach or chlorine out on the sidewalk, they’ll stop. Yeah, I know but it would be funny. :p
Couldn’t happen to a nicer town.
That's been my personal policy for more than 20 years. What was once a magical city has been turned into a nauseating $hithole by liberalism. May they wallow in it!
Have you ever had to go New York City, right there in Midtown, in the summer? After a summer downpour, the whole city smells like pee. It’s not just because of the homeless, either. I once saw a guy in an Armani suit slip into an alley and unzip. If you live there, you don’t notice the smell. But if you’re from out of town, it’s just gross. Because it’s everywhere.
Yeah, like you I will never set foot in the SF area again. There are very few places I’ve sworn will never see my shadow again, SF is one of them.
