(a unique design)

Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
AWESOME
Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, fatima, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.
Don't have a wake-up song.
My alarm is set for a talk show so that
I'll hit the alarm quickly and get out of bed.
And this morning I slept in, so no alarm.

The DC Metroland weather report

~ Today...Rain likely (yup, it's happening)
with a thunderstorm possible during the morning
followed by scattered thunderstorms this afternoon.
High 77F. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 mph.
Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall possibly over one inch.

~ Tonight...Scattered thunderstorms. Low 69F.
Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

You can almost bet that if you have a
cookout planned it's going to rain,
either the day before to make it muddy
or the day off and you spend the day getting wet.
Rain is suppose to end by tonight
and I haven't gotten a call saying cookout canceled
so I go on as planned.

This morning, I was going to go pick veggies
out of FIL's garden but not now.
Instead, I'll do a few chores and run out to store.

Got to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are.
Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!

Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS

Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Instead of listening to a song, I like watching the Andy Griffith episode where Briscoe Darling wants to marry aunt Bee; they’re all sitting around the table eating and when the potatoes run out, Briscoe yells out “TATERS!”

Mockingbird Hill by Patti Page. I hear that a lot on tunein Radio.

It’s not really a wake up song but I love “Coal Miners Daughter” by Loretta Lynn.

As I am definitely not a morning person ...the songs that immediately come to mine (in fact, just heard them this past week)...a good stretching song, a good repeated 'snooze button' song...
The Young Rascals
