The American Action Network was founded by Democrat-turned-Republican senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota, who has a "C" grade on immigration from NumbersUSA, and by Fred Malek, who served as National Finance Committee Co-chair of Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) 2008 presidential campaign.

And while one can debate the "conservativeness" of Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, it is difficult to see how one can be labeled a "Conservative" for supporting an immigration bill that will increase the number of voters for bigger government.
It is also difficult to view these politicians as "Conservative" leaders when they've been silent on President Obama's lawless activity in the area of immigration. When Obama decreed that he would no longer enforce immigration laws for certain illegal aliens, but would instead give them work permits and legal status via his Deferred Action policy, Rubio, Ryan, and Bush did not take the lead to stop it. Putting immigration politics aside, a true conservative leader would be aghast at the idea of a president unilaterally declaring huge portions of the population to be exempted from certain areas of law. Logically, a president can now extend such decrees to tax law, for example, and not fear any repercussion from so-called "Conservative" leaders.
In fact, the Deferred Action decree was the natural result of Obama receiving virtually no blowback for his effort to administratively narrow the scope of immigration enforcement through the "Morton Memos," policies that generally give illegal aliens a pass from deportation until someone is seriously injured or killed. By not challenging the "Morton Memos," Rubio, Ryan, and Bush have effectively shown their support for increased executive power and are seemingly content with non-enforcement of many immigration laws.
Any Republican who believes that Democrats are trustworthy cannot be taken seriously. They are too weak and gullible.
They just keep pushing don’t they.
....they want them to vote....that’s a promise they’ll keep
"And I promise to enforce the new immigration
laws with the same level of dedication and vigor
with which I enforced existing immigration laws."
Only chance to stop the Amnesty bill is for the House not to consider any immigration related bill at all.
Michelle Bachman explained it. ANY House bill no matter if it promises all the border security in the world will be a trojan horse.NO bill at all must come out of the House because it will be merged with the Senate Amnesty and trojan horse bill. Call congress.
Tell them to stop all Amnesty or immigration bills.they are all trojan horse bills. some will promise border security that will never be enforced anyway.
Bachmann explained it . The House will write a border security bill only . then in conference the senate will add the virus and then bring it back to the house. then the conservatives wont vote for it but democrats will all vote for it so then they only need 10% of republicans to pass Amnesty and the virus that will destroy America. so any bill at all will be added the virus . so best thing is for Boner to not let any immigration bill at all come out of the House. that is the only hope . call boner and the members of the House.
Tom Tancredo echos what Michelle Bachmann said.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3036438/posts
call congress . no bill at all from the House
and of course boner must not bring the Senate bill for the House to vote on. no senate bill, no border security bill from the House .nothing.
But, but, but, they drew a line in the sand. And they made a promise.
Of course.
It's all bait and switch and lies to get Amnesty
Even on this site I see some calling for Congress to act for a fence etc. you all trust government.
The media and government create a crisis (99% of them fake ) and then get others even on here to call for government “to do something” "We've got to do something" . that something that gov does is what is killing us. what government WILL do is give Amnesty to 30 million illegals . then each of those can bring in 5 from the 3rd world.
government is the problem . at this point and especially with this Amnesty trap set the best option is for Congress and the House to do NOTHING. If the House passes any immigration related bill the Senate will merge that with their Amnesty horror in conference. bait and switch and people keep falling for it . government is the problem. when will people see that.
Disagree slightly.
I think several, stand alone Bills are in order.
(1) A Bill demanding that Barack Obama enforce current Immigration Law.
(2) A Bill that makes HUGE cut backs in current immigration quotas, which have created 1 million new Democrat voters EVERY YEAR since 2000.
(3) A Bill that ends “Chain Migration.”
(4) Begin the process for a Constitutional Amendment that STOPS granting USA citizenship to foreigners born on USA soil.
How many broken promises does it take for the folding lawn chair party to start to understand what's going on here?
Yeah, the cheap labor contingent has really become unhinged. The politicians keep getting their donations and cushy jobs after they're voted out of office, and corporations keep getting their cheap labor. The game keeps going on even if they never win an election. The only thing that stops their scam is if constitutional conservatives control the Republican Party.
And look at their leader. McCain's wife gets cheap labor and lots of beer drinkers with the invaders taking over the US.
Toughest? Since all the others were complete failures this doesn't tell us much.
How about a bill that forbids green cards or citizenship till sheriff Joe AND Tom Tancreno certify that the border is secure? With the bill nulled if they die first?
That puts the case in a nutshell.
omg thank you, i needed to laugh today...!
"Triggers" 2007 -> "Border Surge" 2013. I wouldn't be surprised if the WSJ's Madison Avenue buddies are helping them with new buzzwords and sound bites.
Looks like the senate bill is DOA in the House, (the danger is now the House still plays into their hands) but that advertising money is already spent, so run those ads anyway.
These groups have overlapping leadership and membership.

Of course they are. WSJ runs almost DAILY pro-amnesty articles. They live behind gates, with armed guards.
No worries.
Thanks, Ray.
” The American Action Network was founded by Fred Malek, National Finance Committee co-chair of John McCains 2008 presidential campaign. AAN created the American Action Forum and the Hispanic Leadership Network. These groups share office space with the Karl Rove affiliated Crossroads GPS/American Crossroads. “
Rove is one of the top “money men” BUYING the politicians.
They will merge any of those with the horrible Senate immigration bill or at least add Amnesty for 30 million illegals in conference.
you people are falling for the trap unless you are a statist/democrat/socialist that wants Amnesty.
