I think they are more likely to convict out of feaar their lives could be ended or their homes burned down. Aren't their identities being completely protected? Do they show them in the televised proceedings?

But they got it out in the news one more time. Trayvon was merely a child.

There’s a guy on death row in Texas who just lost his final appeal. When he was 18 he beat a woman to death when she delivered donuts to the his parents. He was just a little older than Trayvon Martin. If she would have been armed and killed him, she would be on death row.
I hope the defense points out that they need to look at it as though Martin was beating Zimmerman with a brick. They had so many chances to point out things like this but didn’t. Such as “Who started the fight? Who had a broken nose?”

This so-called judged threw out the prosecutions post-trial charge of child abuse and instead informed the jury they could convict on the basis of a manslaughter charge instead - a clear example of the dialectic! I think she is working for the prosecution who knows their original charge is baseless!Instructing the jury on the lesser included offense of manslaughter is mandatory in any murder case under Florida law.

no, only if the DEFENSE asks for it.
for the prosecution it is discretionary.

Supposedly, until the LSM and Spike Lee tells everyone where they are at.

I was pleasantly surprised by this ruling. This judge has been so hostile to Zimmerman and his attorneys I thought she had become a de facto member of the prosecution.

I would say thats double jeopardy and not allowed under the constitution. But with this bunch anything is possible. Even if he's acquitted, I expect Trayvon's parents to sue Zimmerman for "wrongful death". That's just the kind of people they strike me as being.

Corey and DOJ West said the charge was ridiculous and a trick - and mentioned that Corey was sitting right there apparently approving it.
Loved it.
