How does anyone live on even $12.50 an hour in DC? Why should WalMart employees live worse than slaves while the Walton family has more wealth than most countries?

We don't save the US unless economic balance comes back. I'm not saying a person can't be rich and successful, but they can't do it the Walton way. JMHO

If you don’t think the wages at Wal-Mart are good, don’t work there.

Redistribution of wealth has worked so well in other countries. Just ask the dead white farmers in South Africa.

Oh wait... Sorry.

You do realize thus DC bill ONLY targets WalMart and other DC employers are basically exempt? Like all the GIANT supermarkets with their auto checkouts and scarce employees

in terms of minimum wage and “living wage”- How many Micky D burgers are you going to purchase at $20 per if the employees paid $12.50+ per hour - to start?

If a COUPLE works for Wally at $8.25 per that is $16.50 per hour..... ever think instead of forces businesses to accommodate the single mother lifestyle, that maybe getting MARRIED is what gives FAMILIES a “living wage”? Maybe the folk ought to give it a try

Walton family makes pennies on the dollar, they just generate LOT of dollars. You got a problem with that?
Go start your own business and give away your profits and make a new model of rich and successful

We don't save the US unless economic balance comes back.

There is no meaningful separation between the government of the US and the corporate oligarchies and they are both managed by the banking cartel. Your task is to pay for the voters that keep it that way and the gambling habits of psychopaths like Corzine, Dimon and Blankfein etc. So much for "free enterprise".

They don’t. It’s one of the most expensive places to live on Earth. If you can’t generate enough economic value to live there, don’t live there. Yes, moving IS an option.
