If I remember my 9th grade science class, I am all colors. . .
White contains all colors or my 9th grade science teacher was wrong. . . .
So from now on when someone ask my color I will say ALL.
I already say Human when asked for Race. . . . .
White reflects all visible light. Black absorbs visible light. You need light to see colors. What you are seeing is the light reflected off the skin that reaches your eye. So it is a reflection and absorption issue. When you see white on your computer screen, it is because all colors are on or being emitted. When you see black on your computer screen it is because no colors are being emitted.
If you illuminate white skin with a green light, it will look green. If you illuminate black skin with a green light, it will look black. So yes you are correct in a general sort of way.
