The second degree murder trial of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin took a bizarre turn tonight as the judge presiding over the case stormed out of her courtroom over the objections of defense attorneys.
Judge Nelson had heard several hours of after hours arguments on proposed defense evidence and witnesses.
As the 10 o'clock hour drew near, Nelson announced the court would be in recess until 8 a.m. tomorrow, prompting objections from defense attorneys O'Mara and West that would not give them time to prepare for the day. Nelson told them she didn't want the jury to have to wait like they did this morning. As West complained that he physically could not keep up the pace the judge was forcing on the defense Nelson bolted from her chair and stormed out of the courtroom.
The entire 16 minutes of the YouTube video of the end of today's session is worth watching. Advance to the last few minutes, about 14:00, for the fireworks.

I stopped watching at 5:30, the animator was getting raked over by the ass from the prosecution team.
I am convinced of it. With the race baiter Benjamin Crump and his dealings with the city manager, the mayor, Trayvon’s mother and father ... their “charitable” organizations. The firing of Sanford’s police chief over this case. The links to Angela Corey and the state’s witnesses.
A Comment from a career prosecutor on Legal Insurrection....
I was a prosecutor in New York and California for over 25 years. I tried over 100 jury trials, including capital and non-capital murder cases.
The evidence regarding TMs fighting history, proclivity and prowess is clearly admissible, especially in light of the evidence introduced by the prosecution regarding GZs MMA training.
Simply stated, if the judge excludes this exculpatory evidence it will certainly constitute evidentiary error and possibly a violation of GZs federal constitutional rights to present a defense and to a fair trial, guaranteed by the 6th and 14th amendments.
If the judge excludes this highly relevant, exculpatory evidence, the only question on appeal (assuming GZ is convicted) will be whether, because of the strength of the prosecution case, her erroneous ruling was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt.
Since the prosecutions case is far from overwhelming. And since the critical issue in the case is self-defense. And since the evidence regarding TMs fighting goes directly to the question of self-defense. If the judge excludes this evidence, it is a virtual certainty that any conviction that the prosecution obtains (and that is a questionable assumption given the prosecutors burden to disprove self-defense beyond a reasonable doubt) will be reversed on appeal.
My prediction: After sleeping on it, and having time to cool off from a long day in court, the judge will come to her senses and do the right thing: Admit the evidence regarding TMs fighting.
“Hi NSA. FU NSA.”
This has nothing to do with the NSA. It is strictly about the Democrat Party and the judges they have purchased and instructed; this judge is pissed because the facts have won out and she isn’t going to get the verdict that she and the Party want. When I say “Party,” you can understand that as “communist” or “democrat;” there isn’t any difference anymore.
I very seriously doubt that Zimmerman will be acquitted, My FRiend. This was what a Stalin era Soviet show trial looked like.
I would love to see someone call this judge “Your Dishonor” right to her fat, ugly face.
ping
That is appalling.
Someone correct me If I am wrong (not having any legal experience at all) but it sounds like the defense is angry because they feel that evidence was not disclosed to them as it should have been by law, they have legal testimony to that effect confirming it, and it is important evidence.
More importantly, she gets angry because if so, it is clear this is happening under her watch and reflects directly on her.
Am I seeing this correctly?
Men can be perfectly stupid “judges” too. I think Ito was a “man?”
As far as Zimmerman is concerned, probably.
He’s going to be acquitted. Dollar to doughnut holes.
I have to admit I’m OK with the “thinning the herd” part.
Heheheh
I agree with you and that’s why I said “You’re right”.
The FU NSA was separate and an agreement with the poster who mentioned the NSA.
.
Bad apple judges come in both sexes.
I agree. One of my best friends is black. Never would I have ever thought she’d see things as black vs white. She is slamming the defense every chance she gets and is totally blinded by “justice for Trayvon”. She claims to be watching the whole proceedings as well. It’s like we’re not watching the same trial.
I’ve always thought that keeping out evidence of Trayvon Martin’s fighting was the huge appellate issue elephant in the room.
The Judge was saying any 7 year old could have been using TM’s password protected phone to send out thousands of texts and photos about fighting???
Could have been someone else using the phone HE spent all day and night on that day, right up until the moment he started another fight???
The phantom 7 year old.
You go, girl!!
