Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaving ‘The View’ for ‘Fox & Friends’

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving ABC’s “The View” and taking a role as a co-host on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Fox News announced and “The View” confirmed. “I have been a long-time fan of ‘Fox & Friends’ and am excited to be joining their team in September as it is an honor to call the Fox News Channel my new television home,” Hasselbeck said in a written Fox News Channel announcement. Hasselbeck joined “The View” as a co-host in November 2003. Her interviews on the show have included President Obama, Sen. John McCain, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, according to her biography on “The View’s” website. Prior to “The View,” Hasselbeck was known to TV audiences for reaching the final four on the second season of “Survivor.”

If it wasn’t for their being mainstays on F & F since before 9/11, I would like to see her take over for the sometimes overly zany Steve Doocey or the uber jock Brian Kilmeade. Whatever happened to the lovely and ever-inquisitive E.D. Hill? She was the anchor of that show if you ask me.

So she's trading in working with one group of airheads on a broadcast network, for another group of airheads on a cable network.

Has she mastered the art of pretending to be horrified or disgusted about some white trash/celebrity sleaze masquerading as news, and then proceeding to talk about how horrifying/disgusting it is for the next 10 minutes?

Because the Faux and Friends airheads do exactly that far too often. Before we stopped watching all together, we had to make it a point not to have Fox News on if we had little children around, because there was far too much sleaze and celebrity filth being discussed on there.

There are sooooooooo many whackjobs to pick from,,,,,I've never watched the show but I do know that whoopie pie and baba wawa are on the show and that other disgusting lib, rosie O was there for awhile, so based on those three I'm guessing some nutjob like jeanine garofolo would fit in just fine or maybe sheryl "use only one square of toilet paper per visit to bathroom" crow may fit in just as well!
