On Tuesday, Georgetown University Professor Michael Eric Dyson told MSNBC’s Martin Bashir that he believes, if the racial distinctions were reversed in the case against George Zimmerman for the 2012 murder of Trayvon Martin, the public’s reaction to the cases would be dramatically different. He added that the “George Zimmermans of the world continue to get away” with “the killing of our children” without facing justice.
Dyson began by lamenting the course of court proceedings in which, he said, Martin was “dying again the death of a thousand qualifications, which is what our legal system is about.”
“I don’t have much faith in the processes here, because it doesn’t really speak — they don’t really speak to the issues that are being raised here,” he continued.
Dyson said that, if Zimmerman is acquitted of murder charges, “then the children of poor and people of color in this country do not have the same quality of justice as given to those who are able to muster up resources and defend themselves against such a charge.”
Dyson said that Zimmerman was only arrested and charged in the first due to the public “outcry,” leaving him with little hope that a jury would find him guilty. “Part of the moral victory was getting him into the courtroom to be subject to criminal proceedings to begin with,” Dyson added.....

I've listened to this man talk. Probably on Bill Maher show clip posted on FR. He's one of those self-appointed intellectuals. He's so damn "smart" a normal person can't make head nor tails of what he is saying. He's smart in the universe of his brain and that's it.
Zimmerman is more “colored” than Obama.

Georgetown University Professor Michael Eric Dyson “Intellectual”????.................. Has he really been following this case? If it was the way he portrays it in reverse, I’d still find the one “on top” responsible for his actions. Maybe Trayvon should have been the one to call 911 instead of calling his girlfriend. (Who IMHO, may have been the instigator of this whole event by telling Trayvon to lay some woop-ass on the cracker.) We’ll never know what really motivated him to go into an attack mode.

I know exactly the type. I use to have boss just like that who saw himself as an intellectual, and every time he tried to “intellectualize” because he was so damn condescending, you could just see the question marks popping up over peoples heads. Wha? ? What is this guy talking about? Wha?

This occurred on MSNBC right after one of their former producers called the network a spokesman for the Obama administration. So Obama wants a race war in the US.
