Egypts newly appointed interim prime minister Hazem el-Beblawi is to offer ministerial posts to members of the Muslim Brotherhood and to the hardline Islamist Nour Party, state media said on Tuesday.
There is no objection at all to including members of those two parties in the government, a presidential spokesman said.
The announcement followed el-Beblawis appointment as prime minister in a transitional government, as the authorities sought to steer the country to new parliamentary and presidential elections.
Adli Mansour, acting head of state since massive demonstrations ousted Islamist president Mohammed Morsi out of office last week, also appointed former UN nuclear agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei as deputy president, responsible for foreign affairs, subject to approval from Egypt's political parties.

Then what was the point?
What an idiot.
Invite the vipers into bed with you. What could go wrong? Obama is probably in the shadows.
The new head of state is himself a viper. Not hard to assume that the new head of government also is. The new deputy PM sure is . . .
Everybody in Egypt realizes that their economy is tied to the ancient Egyptian artifacts and buildings. Morsi put governors and ministers in charge of sensitive areas. Those men had spoken publically about the need to destroy all of the pre-Islamic antiquities. This was probably a huge boost to the recent coup as destroying these buildings would be economic suicide. So, as long as they make them Postmaster General and Surgeon General, there’s no problem. But they can’t put them where they would do harm. (But, then, I’m not an Egyptian politician and politicians tend to see a different reality from the rest of us.)
Obambi probably threatened to cut off funding if the islamists were excluded:
‘Obama Call for Muslim Brotherhood Role’ in Egypt
Don’t do it.
Just amazing.
Mansour and el Beblawi are already on the Brotherhood’s top ten list. This coup was a huge mistake. The huge demonstrations had already checked Mursi and his program. The Generals feared that they would be purged as their counterparts in Turkey were purged by the Islamists. Maybe so but they have made a martyr of Mursi and gave those jolly fellows in the Brotherhood the mantle of righteous indignation. Egypt will become unstable due to civil disruptions, violence and terrorism. It is already destitute and will become poorer. What’s more since the United States is the paymaster of the Egyptian army, Americans will be blamed for whatever happens there. Time to really respect George Washington, take his advice, and not get entangled in the internal affairs of foreign countries
Cue Pete Townshend...
I hope this is an example of keeping your friends close, and your enemies closer, but I doubt it.......
Most truly dangerous Muslim Brotherhood harliners have already been detained and arrested.
I bet any remaining who end up getting appointed will have already been vetted and had it made it clear to them that they are going to be under a microscope with a 105mm rifled tank barrel on the other end.
In addition, they will be put where they can do the least harm...like Minister of Sand Dollar Collections on the Mediterannean Coast.
More than the camels nose is into the tent
It has tasted your wine , and seen your women ..
Right now ,..Egypt is a ‘time bomb’, just waiting to go off !!
Its a 90% islamic country, nothing different was ever going to happen.
Oh? The general el-Sisi is a fundamentalist. The Nour Party is Salafist, and an initial supporter of Morsi’s deposement. Deputy PM El-Baradei openly declared that he would take Egypt to war with Israel if he led the country. The National Salvation Front is a very interesting collection of radicals, too.
Egypt is not a homogeneous Islamic society. The real Islam absent the zealot wackos was in the streets demanding an end to the fundamentalist insanity.
No. They were upset that Morsi didn’t go to war with Israel fast enough for their liking.
Yeah tell me about the “good” muslims please. LOL
Why bother with a coup then? Unless they get jobs like “Minister of Gardening” or “Chief Deputy of Waste Removal”, what was the point?
