Pastor Ken Hutcherson To Rev. Al Sharpton: 'Not Again' (EXCELLENT)
The Blaze ^ | 7/9/13 | Ken Hutcherson

Posted on 07/09/2013 2:46:35 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55

I was born in Anniston, Alabama, in the 50s and had to fight for my equality most of my life. You see, there were many who thought I should be treated like a second class citizen, drink from a different water fountain, sit in the back of the bus, be counted as three-quarters of a person, go to a different school, eat and sit in the black section of restaurants, use a different bathroom; you know, be separate but equal.

I have to tell you Al, I have seen your work, it has been weighed, it has been measured, and it has been found wanting. Daniel 5:27.

What a STINGING rebuke of the clown Al Sharpton.

Hutcherson just carves him up like a knife through butter.

Al Sharpton should be embarrassed to even be seen by the small amount of viewers he has.

United States Constitution, Article 1, Section 2:

"Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. "

The author: "I was born in Anniston, Alabama, in the 50s and had to fight for my equality most of my life. You see, there were many who thought I should be ... counted as three-quarters of a person ..."

Firstly, he has the number wrong.

Secondly he should know that while the evil and hated Southerners wanted his ancestors to count equally as free persons, the godly and sainted Northerners didn't want his ancestors to count at all. "Three fifths" was a compromise. Finally, he should know that the whole business was rendered moot in 1868 by Amendment XIV.

Other than that ... good job slapping "Fat Albert" Sharpton in head. He deserves it.

” Iced tea and “skillets”

The evil and hated Southerners wanted his ancestors to count the same as a freeman because that would have tipped the House of Representatives far in the South's favor in terms of representation. The godly and sainted Northerners didn't want to count slaves because then the North could maintain some say in how revenue bills and tariffs were passed, among other things.

There was certainly no moral superiority in the Southern stance, if that's what you were implying.

One of the comments said Sharpton would have only been about 12 years old during the time of civil rights conflicts. I would be willing to bet he was never any closer to the real conflicts than his TV.

And why did those Southerners want to count slaves as a full person for census purposes?

Better question: Why did those Northerners want to write the slaves out of the census entirely?

Oh NOES!!! Can't have that!!!

As I said, "Three Fifths" was a compromise. Many people take it out of context, including this author.

And that, my FRiends, is all I have to say about that.

1st, “slaves”, not”black people”

2nd, they wanted to not count purchased votes...as slaves had no say in who they “voted” for.

Because it would have increased the voting power of the slave states.

Wonderful piece, and yet he can't bring himself to point out that the Blacks were suppressed by the DEMOCRATS!!!!!!!!

Civil rights were brought into law by the Republicans in spite of the opposition of DEMOCRATS!!!!!!!

BTW, the KKK was created and run by the DEMOCRATS!!!!!

Why is that so hard to say? Why do (my estimate) 99% of Black population does NOT know this?
