Bingo. CS5 works just fine for me. Why upgrade to a rental? Adobe is really doing some stupid things with their software lately. Must be another Obama supporter, you know, “stupid is as stupid does.....”

You know I tried Gimp several months ago. It just didn’t work very well on Windows. I had to go back to CS5.

How does Paintshop Pro stack up against Photoshop? My daughter used it years ago, but we’ve used Photoshop since the middle 2000’s.

I tried GIMP several, several months ago and it just didn’t work very well. Has it improved much since 2009?

Don't know why this is news.
AutoCAD pioneered the concept around 2008. Can't "purchase" a copy any more; or own it; or sell your copy; or use it without paying an annual fee...

It’s news because Adobe recently adopted the policy for Photoshop.

My comment was triggered by this first sentence...

"The dawn of Software as a Subscription is now upon us."

I submit that it is much later than "dawn." At least mid-morning, if not close to noon.

I see what you were referring to. You’re right of course but since when has accuracy been a regular feature of news reporting?
