Today, July 9th, is DAY #21 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Yesterday was the first full day of defense witnesses. Perhaps the most significant of the first set were the two police officers who stated Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s father, said on 2/28/12 the cries for help on the 911 calls were NOT Trayvon. Later in the day Tracy Martin took the stand and essentially said the two detectives were lying. A great analysis of the events from yesterday is available HERE.
What additionally strikes as important to us is the first signs of desperation from the original nucleus of the Scheme Team construct, Benjamin Crump and Daryl Parks – attorneys for the Martin family. Parks appeared on Piers Morgan show last night and the video should be watched by anyone who knows how the scheme was constructed.
We accept that Mark O’Mara is conflicted in this case, and he is trying to walk a fine line between presenting a defense to a case built on political pressure and outright fraud; Yet simultaneously avoiding exposition of both the politics and the fraud itself.
The intentionally avoided open doors exposing the fraud creates anxiety for those of us who know what is inside the room he is avoiding. Our prayers are that his passing those wide open doors is based on prudence [within an unknown strategy]. However, our fear is the hasty and politically correct avoidance might cause him to pass by the room holding the key to George Zimmerman’s ultimate ‘long-term’ freedom.
It should be noted the NAACP Annual National Convention starts in Orlando on Friday; Additionally, preparations are being made in/around Miami-Dade for a Wednesday defense wrap up with a community/LEO preparation meeting today.

I am guessing that Federal charges for “denial of civil rights” will be difficult.
I was once SUED by George Tiller for “denial of civil rights” of others.
The Supreme Court ruled in a related case that private individuals do not have the ability to violate civil rights of others, Only a government official can deny or violate rights under our Constitution.
Where rights are concerned, they must be “violated under color of law”.
I do not think that George Zimmerman, as Neighborhood Watch volunteer, qualifies as a government official.

They did a great job of shining light on the injuries Z already got. I’d like to see them tie it in more securely to the injuries that Z FEARED he MIGHT get.
Self defense doctrine in Florida stipulates fear of “great bodily injury” before the use of “deadly force” (gun) is OK.
DiMaio gave O’Mara and West all the ammo they needed, IMO, with the great discussion of head injuries, particularly closed head injury. Now MOM/DW need to indelibly write the link in the minds of the jurors.

If I was in that jury, I would now KNOW that TM moms LIED under oath, through both testimonies and common sense. She gets no sympathy from me.
I wonder how many abrasions, bruising is left on the punchers knuckles?....Seriously, not bragging as the winner of many bar fights (on duty), if you don’t “teeth” the opponent or hit him on the top of head, none. Or miss and hit the sidewalk.
It is SAD! Clients call; goes to VM. Emails go unanswered for hours/days(?), husband, children starving.
When gunshot wounds mentioned TM’s mom makes a big show of exiting the court room.
Does anybody here think that made a good impression on the Jury?

I think they realize it’s all drama , and done to cause them to think they
would be “ disrespecting” her by not realizing how much pain this causes
her....
She and TM will do anything to get “ justice”
It’s why she’s moving around so much...She’s trying to grab attention for her little show.
It’s all staged BS..
She also left the other day when Mr Donnelly (Vietnam medic & GZ friend) was speaking. Made a big show of it- she and her attorney, I think - I saw it it was crass.
Hopefully the attorney's wife on the jury will make sure they know this!!

It is a good way to draw attention away from great defense witnesses. It is also transparent. I hope the jury can see what is going on.
I am not on the jury but I gotta tell you. I would be wondering why there aren’t any character witnesses for Trayvon. Teachers, coaches, school records, neighbors, pastors, friends could tell me a little more about this boy than skittles. The lack of this info is a pretty big matzo ball hanging out there and would make me very skeptical.

Well, to be fair to TrayMom, when you need a toot, you need a toot. And after that judgment, she can afford the good $tuff... the kind Hollywood uses, not that five bucks a rock ghetto kind. But when it wears off, the pull is strong...
I wouldn’t expect that particular jury to understand though.
Not just the knuckles. In MMA and fighting, hitting with the bottom part of the fist is also quite effective.
Someone is floating around the net that Sybrina GAVE that HOA settlement to charity. Not sure if that is true. I have no desire to look it up, just curious if anyone had heard/read the same.
