I agree there won’t be riots in Sanford, because it is a quiet suburbia. Broward county is five counties away from Seminole county, where the trial is being held.
Seminole county is 9.5% black; Broward about 20.5% black.
At 16%, Florida has the second largest number of blacks per capita among states. Its black majority county is Gadsden, with 57% black, in the north, part of the Tallahassee municipal area. However, just north of there in Georgia, 17 counties are black majority.
But I do think that riots in Florida are less likely than they are in other cities around the US. Places always looking for an excuse to riot.
Sanford is 40 percent black and 20 percent hispanic.
