The incident involves the unwitting exposure of "tens of thousands" of Social Security numbers, according to a recent audit by the independent transparency and public-domain group Public.Resource.org. The identifying numbers were on the Internet for less than 24 hours after being discovered, but the damage was done. And unfortunately, the data-breach concerns some of the most sensitive types of transactions: Those made by nonprofit political groups known as 527s.

All of us have certain civil rights granted under the Privacy Act. If, for example, you could prove your social security number was exposed by the IRS, and a criminal got it and used it for identity theft, and the criminal drained your bank account of X dollars, you would have a valid claim under the Privacy Act against FedGov to recover X dollars. These folks will even help you do it.

Holder refuses to prosecute “his people” criminals like the Black Panthers that waive billy clubs at people trying to vote, but he can't stop FedGov, IRS, etc. from being sued. They have yet to be successful in eliminating trial by jury.
And yes, they intervened and forced the prosecution of Zimmerman, but that does not mean FedGov is immune to prosecution.
Civil rights???? Not unless you’re black, on welfare, an illegal Mexican or demand an abortion at taxpayer expense. The only rights this government recognizes, is our right to serve government.
After all “The government, is us” according to His Heinous.
I no longer have a shred of faith in the ‘system’ that they have corrupted.
I no longer believe there is justice in their courts.
It is all rigged, it is all political - we are become Soviet.
I believe pissing up a rope will have a better result than attempting to redress grievance against the MarxoFascist regime now in power using the corrupted institutions that at one time were supposed to protect our rights FROM government.
” UNEXPECTED”
The filthy bunch of liars can say it was an accident. How do we know it wasn’t in retaliation?
Will they pay the offended parties a million dollars each?
Then they wonder why we are cynical about the political process.
“Mistakenly” — now that’s rich
Well come on, those illegals need those numbers!
About a year and a half ago my brother received a letter from the IRS demanding payment of $230,000 dollars in back taxes and penalties from a tax return he filed six years ago.
He hired a tax attorney and filed a counterclaim claiming he actually had overpaid his taxes by $42,000 dollars over the last 7 years.
The case went to court. They proved in court the IRS had basically lost a schedule he had sent in detailing the basis in a home he had sold six years ago, and that he had overpaid his taxes over a 7 year period. He had been too conservative with his deductions, and the attorney was more aggressive when he re-casted 7 years of tax returns. He paid the attorney about $12,000 and pocketed about $30,000.
To this day I think the pricks at the IRS simply thought he would roll over and negotiate a settlement with them and that he would not have kept records back that far. They did not know my brother is a pack rat and keeps absolutely everything. They are still bullies in my book, but they are not as smart as they think they are.
Victories are rare when the House rigs the game in it’s favor. Especially for someone with little financial means to fight back.
If one is lucky - they may get a judge that has moral convictions. Those beholden to power or ideology have no restrictions on imposing tyranny because morality (and the Constitution) means nothing to them.
There came a time in our history when continuing to be limited to the tools that the King and Parliament afforded the Colonists became nothing more than exercises in futility and repeated injury.
When you realize that there is no tool from within a corrupted system that redresses grievances, you understand that other tools are necessary if one wants to preserve liberty.
Asking the government for permission to exercise liberty and rights within their rigged system of corruption is not one of those tools.
Well at least they didn’t leave all of the state employees’, both current and past, personal information for all to see and peruse for over one year like the State of Texas DID a couple of years ago.
Can you say INCOMPETANCE? Yes, I thought you could.
Those who utilize any type of electronic transaction on a regular basis will never be fully secure and are simply victims waiting to be fleeced by some unscrupulous individual or organization.
Nothing to see here folks.... move right along.
I haven't commented much on the diabolical 'leaks', "accidental" disclosures, and continuing series of incidents which are beyond circumstantial, which indicate a syndrome of attacks on conservatives and any opposed to the Communist cryptoMuslim and his cronies.
There isn't much left to say.
But I think everyone should have a list for when the days of incivility come, for when the gloves come off, the sides are known, and the rule of law is universally ignored--not just selectively ignored by our Government. Past events on a much smaller scale tell me this is a definite possibility, and if that day comes, I will break my list out and act as I believe appropriate.
Even saying that much flirts with trouble in this age of surveillance.
The problems with the Republic are pervasive, from head to toe. The cure will be also.
For now, I seek to influence local and State politics more than national, because the writing is on the wall at the national level if the Republican Party doesn't consolidate its feces.
what did they expect?.....the American people deserve what they want and they're going to get it good and hard.....enjoy...
If you think Obama was “elected” because Conservatives with principles decided not to vote for the Ruling Class Democrat - you have no clue what time it is, and are just a GOP Rovian party hack.
