$94 a month is real money and to say it isn’t is just a lie.

That is close to the average electric, water or gas bill in America. It is plenty for the staples for a family of three if the money is spent wisely and combined with coupons.

How many of the people that receive this benefit also have cable TV. A newer smart phone and high speed internet access. All of these cost LESS that $94 a month on average.

How long will the average tax payer be required to bring the average ‘poor’ person up to a life style comparable to an upper middle class person?

I’m not saying it isn’t real money. When they throw the billions around one loses track of what the actual numbers mean. Besides per person means a family of 4 is getting $376 a month. Pizza, some bread sticks maybe $20-$25 depending on ages and appetites. Thats 15 meals a month paid for. Believe me i understand the value of a $.

As we’ve discussed on other threads, if you know how to cook and are willing to cook from scratch with staple ingredients, a person could eat surprisingly well on three bucks a day.
