GZ shouldn’t be convicted but he will be.If not by Florida then by Attorney Corporal Holder,in his desire to bring “justice” for his boss’s “son”.

Good summary.

We should (however) always take a step back after demolishing these spurious narrative points raised by the media.

In the last analysis the ‘degree of following’ which the media seems fixated on is just a piece of BGI narrative. It’s completely immaterial as to whether or not Zimmerman acted in self-defense.

Zimmerman could have followed Traydmark to the end of the world and it still wouldn’t have taken away his right to self-defense.

(For Freepers who may not have come across this useful acronym: BGI = Black Grievance Industry)

The press deliberately avoids precision, so the reader can jump to false conclusions. The prosecutor did the same thing in its charging documents, and continues to do so in the trial.

I agree that even if Zimmerman had attempted to close distance with Martin, that would not change the legal self defense analysis one bit.

If it was a normal trial. If it was a fair and impartial trial. I would agree that Zimmerman would be acquitted because by no stretch has the State proved its case.

However, Zimmerman's trial and a fair and impartial trial are about as far apart as the East and West. In fact, a defendant in a Stalin era show trial or a Jew in one of Hitler's "People's Courts" would receive a fairer trial than George Zimmerman is getting. the State can and has used perjured testimony that was plainly obvious and coached. As for the judge, She may as well stop the trial and declare Zimmerman guilty. her bias against George is so obvious that even Stevie Wonder can see it and he is blind. The media is allowed to report "Riots will take place if Zimmerman is acquitted" on an hourly basis to make sure the jury renders the correct verdict, to wit: guilty.

“probably”? Really? How stupid to predict what six jurors might do.

I’m thinking a lot of the defense will focus on “following” (or not) by using maps and graphics depicting where each was in real time.

If GZ was indeed walking back to his truck when he was jumped by a TM who could already have walked home, it’s game over.

Ditto, thanks for posting. First one I’ve seen or read. The others are well-hidden.

The timeline will show that Martin had time to get "home," plenty of time, and could have been "home" and returned to the T in the time between Zimmerman losing sight of Martin, and the end of the last call that is alleged to be between Rachael and Martin.

The state has objected to a computer animation that shows exactly what you describe.

The defense has plenty more. Martin's reputation for fighting can be introduced. Rachael can be confronted with her deposition testimony that she and Martin were fighting on the phone, which can set his "mood." The defense has "the" firearms forensic pathologist on tap. Plenty more.

Our justice system is just like our political system. This trial is based on the leftist view of racial politics. The judge is a leftist puppet in this farce, with Obama leading the way with his inane comments. Nothing about this circus is about justice. Perhaps the jurors will overcome this and move for justice, perhaps not.

Hung jury is my guess. At least one of those female jurors will not let him walk under any circumstances.

Who is “the” defensive shooting expert? Massad Ayoob?

No. I think there is a defense shooting expert, the "the" person I was referring to is a forensic pathologist who can testify as to range between muzzle and clothing, and clothing and skin. The state's medical examiner expert from Friday (Shiping Bao) referred to a book by Dr. Di Maio for his knowledge of gunshot characterization. Dr. Di Maio is a defense witness.

The Jury are sequestered, fortunately.

The MSM are putting out incendiary broadcasts because they want blood in the streets. They want it so bad they can smell it.

What’s the media going to do without a dog and pony show and no riots?.

It hasn’t been a “justice system”, in many decades; it’s barely even a “legal system”, at times.
