Not really. It was 8 miles away yesterday and 7 miles today. However, the winds are blowing northwest today and our ski lodge, arctic survival school, trap and skeet range, and military firing range look to be out of danger as the fire is moving back on areas already burned.

Good news for Salcha residents to the east of us.

Bad news for the folks living north of the the Chena river.

We had some very scary looking smoke/clouds today. Atomic bomb like.

Being forced by wind back on to the burn is really good news for some.

Hope the water drops can keep the Chena River Road folks out of trouble.
