The most unexpected result to come out of day 9 of the State of Florida v. George Zimmerman, the day the State finished presenting its witnesses, was not Trayvon Martins mothers claim that it was her sons screams heard on the 911 call. That was to be expected.
The rambling, occasionally absurd testimony of medical examiner Shiping Bao did not surprise, either. Nor did defense attorney Mark OMaras cogent appeal that Zimmerman be acquitted given the States failure to make a convincing case of his guilt.
What was most intriguing, at least from the perspective of how the media corrupted this case, was the States failure to call Witness No. 5, Mary Cutcher, the most visible and outspoken of all the eyewitnesses.
The State did call her roommate, a blonde Colombian named Selma Mora. As Mora admitted, she and Cutcher did not see anything until after the shot was fired. When Mora did look out, she saw Zimmerman on top of Martin.
This revelation may have fired up the uninformed, but it only confirmed what Zimmerman told the Sanford PD that first night about the sequence of events.
At this point, Zimmerman said about the moment after the shot was fired, I slid out from underneath him and got on top of the suspect holding his hands away from his body.
Zimmerman never said otherwise. What made Moras testimony worth discussing is not what she said, but that the State chose her to say it. The prosecution did not call Cutcher.
In the 6-week-long hysteria between Martins shooting and Zimmermans arrest, Cutcher was everywhere. It was she who floated the theme that the police were ignoring those eyewitnesses whose testimony challenged Zimmermans innocence..................

Darned spell check...
- So, does the carpet match the drapes?
- Dunno, she had hardwood floors...
After all, Zimmerman is a white Hispanic.
Yep, a whole big pile of Krauts immigrated to Mexico before The Great War. I'm told there are still a few towns where you'll hear German and not Spanish on the street.
Anyway the Krauts taught the Mexicans how to brew really good beer, and contributed the oom pa oom pa oom papapa that you hear in so much "Mexican" music...
I think it also gave us Linda Ronstadt, though she might have more recent German-Mexican origins.
She was the scheme teams first and most visible witness that got the whole lynch mob riled up with her claims of a child crying for help and in the end the state didnt find her believable enough to parade her a** on the witless stand in their case.

I think the prosecution, as dumb as they’ve been, recognized that she, above all their potential witnesses, under cross-examination would have melted like ice cream in a hot Alabama summer day.
I guess they believed the MSM story that Zimmerman was white.
Did I hear correctly today that clothing showed Martin’s knees and Zimmerman’s shirt back were wet? That would tell me who was on top and it wouldn’t matter who yelled “help.”
That’s a good observation. I know that Zimmerman’s shirt was wet, but have not heard anything about Martin’s. They have been so careful not to say anything about Martin’s reputation. I am surprised that the judge said it is ok to have the report on his toxicology report about the marijuana in his system.
I think the prosecution knew they had a bad case from the get-go, but were pressured into it by the antics of Sharpton, Jackson, Obama (”If I had a Son...”), and the MSM (who doctored the evidence they reported). Now the media needs a conviction or they are going to get hit with a bunch of lawsuits. The MSM is actually trying to fire up a race riot when Zimmerman is acquitted. Acquittal means Zimmerman is going to bankrupt the MSM (I hope).
