US President Barack Obama quietly signed his name to an Executive Order on Friday, allowing the White House to control all private communications in the country in the name of national security.
President Obama released his latest Executive Order on Friday, July 6, a 2,205-word statement offered as the “Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions.” And although the president chose not to commemorate the signing with much fanfare, the powers he provides to himself and the federal government under the latest order are among the most far-reaching yet of any of his executive decisions.
“The Federal Government must have the ability to communicate at all times and under all circumstances to carry out its most critical and time sensitive missions,” the president begins the order. “Survivable, resilient, enduring and effective communications, both domestic and international, are essential to enable the executive branch to communicate within itself and with: the legislative and judicial branches; State, local, territorial and tribal governments; private sector entities; and the public, allies and other nations.”
President Obama adds that it is necessary for the government to be able to reach anyone in the country during situations it considers critical, writing, “Such communications must be possible under all circumstances to ensure national security, effectively manage emergencies and improve national resilience.” Later the president explains that such could be done by establishing a “joint industry-Government center that is capable of assisting in the initiation, coordination, restoration and reconstitution of NS/EP [national security and emergency preparedness] communications services or facilities under all conditions of emerging threats, crisis or emergency.”
“The views of all levels of government, the private and nonprofit sectors, and the public must inform the development of NS/EP communications policies, programs and capabilities,” he adds.

Patient my a$$. How much worse does it have to get before people understand that we are no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave? How much worse does it have to get before people understand that what zero and the Dems have done CAN'T and WON'T be fixed at the ballot box - either next year or anytime in the foreseeable future!!! This isn't a "sit back and see what develops" situation, this is a fix it now or be ready to spend at least the next generation wishing you had.
The more time zero goes unchallenged, the more of his communist plan he implements and the harder it is to reverse it. We already have millions of children and young adults who have been brainwashed by the public indoctrination system and millons more are in the pipeline!
The day we wake up and wish we had done something to stop him and the Dems is the day it's already too late. What if he decides that there won't be another election? Will that be enough to get you motivated? How about if he cancels a sports program you wanted to watch so he can give a 6-hour speech on the wonders of communism and Obama?? Will THAT get you motivated? If not these, then what?
You may not have lived or been to a totalitarian country, I have and we're closer to being one than you might realize.

At Post #44 and #60, I admitted that I made a mistake in posting this - and I asked the mods to remove it from ‘breaking news’.
I am so embarrassed! I received it today, and just posted it without further checking.
I hope you all will forgive me. I won’t speak for the person who signed the Executive Order a year ago. (He will have to ask you for that himself...perhaps by email, or on FB or your land line, cell phone, or even here on Free Republic.) Just don’t wait too long. :)

I might take the GROL after I pass the Extra. The extra is quite hard and you have to know the ins and outs of transmission/reception. A tech license should take an hour to study for with the link I provided. It’s a pretty easy test, and anyone can go local for $40 with a Baofeng off of Amazon or international with the Echolink app.
That’s pretty much how I did it. I got the Tech study guide over Christmas break, passed the Tech in January and the General in Feb. Finished my master’s thesis during the spring and will probably finish my Extra next week.
