Currently just Tweets and locals talking about this, nothing on news sites yet. Lots of stuff in the Twitter feed, including links to uploaded videos of the smoking mess.
Thankfully the fire is minimal.
Wasn’t there a 777 that had an engine problem earlier this week?
Drudge has siren headline.
Love it or hate it, Twitter is always first with news and photos.
We have moderators these days who would have blown away the first now-legendary posts on the 9/11 attacks or the 2003 shuttle disaster. Just not smart.
Very comforting..why I hate flying unless I have no choice..reason #150
Eye witness says tail hit the ground upon landing, then tail disintegrated and plane flipped over.
Back in the salad days FR would have had this first, might have today. Being on mobile does take the edge off.
Sometimes though it might take minute/hours to get a post on FR or other net sites. I’m on mobile so I couldn’t post ASAP because I’m not a teen, LOL.
That said it’s nice to see at least a couple of FReepers able to post ASAP! We’re not asleep at the wheel.
Thanks to all who are vigilant.
News never sleeps.
Actually, this one was first by a couple minutes.
Yes..I was quoting the TV about it flipping..Fox still saying it.
Here is a photo of the plane..someone on twitter who was on board took it:

watching now.
Looks fairly survivable and hopefully so.
Once again, Twitter, Free Republic, etc., have been first with breaking news and have have caught MSM flat-footed.
Upon landing, it appears the tail just fell off.
Could have flipped. No question about it. Just it's right side up now. Doesn't mean it didn't flip an integer number of revolutions.
See the link to a passenger pic I just posted. The aircraft is definitely on its belly.
Definitely showing right-side up at that link you posted.
From the video and pictures available the plane is clearly upright and not on its back.
