From this disjointed, illogical screed, it's clear that Horowitz is not a Conservative. I now have my doubts if he ever was. This was the guy who edited Ramparts, an organ of the far-left. It seems he's simply revealing his true self.

Horowitz never lost his "white guilt" completely. I don't know if someone who was infected from birth with it, can. They are always mindful of losing face with the "respectable right" even if they don't mind the left.

I think you should read the book before you make that assessment. I read it. Horowitz has been intellectually courageous like few others in our time. That has nothing to do with being kind of a p*s*y in the man departament. That’s the result of his ethnic background and where he grew up.
