This is exactly the reason the Founders did not put a right to vote in the Constitution and were against Universal Suffrage
Now we have degenerate commies in the WH dictating the color of kids vegetables
They area really quite the pair these two. That overfed beyotch is starving our children.
Wow! LOL!
"When times are tough, you tighten your belts" said the President. "You don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage. You don't blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you're trying to save for college. You prioritize. You make tough choices."
~Hussein Obama
***”... But if I tried to get my 11- and 7-year-old to eat kale, they will look at me like, ‘What are you putting on my plate?’” ***
Reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes cartoons in which the green glob on Calvin’s plate suddenly attacks him.
Don’t seem to get it? How about can’t afford it?
Just amazing that this week was a week to Kick the Obamas. First with Odumbo and his Brothas in Egypt now look Michelle-My-Belle just got kicked too. What a week =)
Why does she always frown and look to her sides as she eats? Easy answer is there may be camera men standing there staring at every little bite. Poor Michele!!, caught in her pretty prison.
A long time ago one of the school lunchroom ladies, on meeting my mother in town, asked “don’t you feed that boy? He eats TWO school lunches every day and is still skinny!”
What the lunchroom lady didn’t know was that I arose at 5:30 a.m. and did the morning dairy chores, about 90 minutes of hard work, then a quick shower, bowl of cereal and milk, some grapefruit or juice, and onto the bus a bit after 7 a.m. Dairy cows need milking twice a day so I had another 90 minutes of hard work come evening after supper. This was my normal “exercise” from 6th grade to graduation except in summer when there was also field work like loading 200-300 hay bales in 90 degree heat happened about 6 to 8 times a season. Then those bales need stacked in the barn lofts! Other days might mean 6 or 8 hours operating a tractor and the attached planter, disc, plow, mower, harvester, or corn picker.
Rainy days meant reading and TV .
I suspect few of the athletes burnt as many calories.
For us, home education was a good financial choice. Both my wife and I were making about $85K in 1997. Between the private school bill, the daycare bill and the extra taxes and expenses on a second income, one of us was making $10,000 a year.
I theorized that if I could raise two students so outstanding that the colleges would pay for them, we would be money ahead. One got a full academic scholarship at Utah State with an athletic scholarship covering the rest. The other is costing us less than $10K per year at Stanford, because of scholarships.
It worked.
I think the cartons might be taller but smaller sides so more cartons fit on a tray from the truck. At least that would make sense.
One-size-fits-all. That’s basically socialism in a nut shell.

You may recall that last September the federal government imposed a new regulation on schools who participated in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). These regulations were well intended but ended up causing hungry children, frustrated parents, and a significant decrease in the number of students buying lunch at our schools. As a result of this and the concerns we have heard from you, the Board of Education has decided to opt out of the NSLP.
Well, on the bright side, parents might start making lunch for their kids again. Or the kids might learn to make their own lunches—which is a great lesson in self-sufficiency.
I remember that lunch, for me, was two slices of bread, slathered with a can of tuna with the oil squeezed out and mixed with lots of mayo. I was making this in first grade!
Sadly, somewhere along the way, I developed an allergy to tuna.
I would love to see the “news” media cover this, truthfully, without all their “we love King and Queen Zero and you should to” crap.
Reagan’s DREAM was to end that IDIOTIC school lunch program, but the Dems stopped him. They did the same with Newt when he wanted to limit the rate of growth slightly - the Dems went ballistic.
At that point, Rush’s antennas went up, and he started looking at just how that program was being used. He found some AMAZING THINGS, that had nothing to do with food. At that point things started to make sense. I just can’t remember exactly what they were, but they were using the lists of people for voter registration, signing up for other programs, community activism, and God knows what else. They needed to know who was low income, and that was how they figured it out.
