More than a year ago, noted Republican commentator Pat Buchanan warned that the outcome of the Trayvon Martin case, in which neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman is on trial for murder, could provoke rioting.
“The public mind has been so poisoned that an acquittal of George Zimmerman could ignite a reaction similar to that, 20 years ago, when the Simi Valley jury acquitted the LAPD cops in the Rodney King beating case,” he warned.
It seems he may have been right.
WND reported earlier in the week that police in Sanford, Fla., where the trial is being held, already were going door-to-door, apparently trying to prevent any violent reaction to the jury verdict when it is reached.
But a number of bloggers and watchers say there are not-so-subtle rumblings of violence developing.
On the Mr. Conservative blog, Twitter threats were reproduced in abundance.
“If Zimmerman don’t go to jail ill kill him for $20,” said one.
“Gimme me tha pistol ill kill Zimmerman myself,” said another.
“If George Zimmerman win I’m gonna kill a fat white boy dat look lik George Zimmerman I swear,” said a third.
“This is despicable and seriously frightening,” wrote blogger Kristin Tate. “There is no way this would be tolerated if the threats from whites were against a black man.”
Zimmerman is on trial for the shooting death of Martin, a teen he said attacked him and pinned him to the ground, delivering blows to his head. Zimmerman said he pulled his weapon and fired at Martin, killing him, in self-defense.
The blog reported thousands were threatening to riot should Zimmerman not be determined guilty by a jury....

I don’t think riots are what the RATS want right now. Every creepy-ass cracka with a TV knows this was race-baited from the gitgo, and every RAT congressmen worth his/her salt has issued Trayvon remarks that can be used against him/her in a primary.

Some will, most won't. They'll be watching Dancing with the Stars when the first brick comes through their window.
Most of it probably is, but not all of it. Before the trial even began, after Zimmerman was first charged, there were incidences of blacks attacking white people, injuring and even killing some, and screaming as they did it, that it was “for Trayvon”. And for app two years now, there have been escalations in blacks mobs of “teens” attacking whites or non-blacks.
I remember the famous picture from the Rodney King riots of the Koreans standing guard over the rooftop with guns.
I think they do, because the first time a non-black person defends themselves or their family, the left will go after them as yet another case of evil whites preying upon blacks, or yet another reason why we should have our guns confiscated.
I’m not really worried. I feel a HHS team will be dispatched to Florida to build lighted basketball courts and the disgruntled youngsters will be pacified by promises of NBA riches for those who develop their basketball skills.

That is my fear, too. The jurors know if they acquit, they and their families will never have another normal moment in their lives and will hunted and worse.
Not to worry. After the first ten thousand attackers are dead, the attempts will ease off.
Or assume that the police swat teams will be coming in mass to keep the peace.
I interviewed Katrina refugees brought to Tennessee for the duration. I talked a very long time with one gentleman who was pretty much forced to leave his high and dry home.
He told me of the lawlessness in the nonflooded old city. The Asians did in fact defend their businesses/homes with deadly force. The over worked police did not object to the discharge of firearms in defense against looters
I sense it is more TALK than action in this case. The troublemakers know that any trouble WILL be put down FAST.
He will either be declared not guilty or it will be a mistrial, gurenteed.
This is what I mean, this talk about riots is just that, TALK, nothing more.
The p_resident has stoked these fires and will be disappointed if “his son” is not avenged. Obama is counting on whatever it takes to divert attention from his crimes and shortcomings.
I remember that gun-cleaning cartoon from 1967-68 in the New Yorker, where the middle-aged white couple are the stereotypical conservatives. IIRC he is depicted cleaning several firearms. At the time I had just purchased a 20” slug barrel for my Remington 870 & equipped it with sling swivels, thinking “I may need this”.
Deja vu all over again. Whoever predicted in 2009 that Obama would set race relations back fifty years was spot on.

Trayvon deserved what he got, so will pro-Trayvon rioters.
