This type of talk is about prioritizing legal immigration based on job skills not family ties.

I hope you are right about that, but if so Walker's statements are likely to be misunderstood. It sounded to me like those poor illegal aliens had to wait too long. And although I agree with you that family-based immigration is harmful, I am not convinced congress tinkering further with job skill quotas would be fair to US workers.

That is usually what they mean when those in GOP say the system is broken,

Not when the Gang of 8 says it.

I cant say what Walker is up here but fortunately he did diss the Senate bill. I assume like the others the ‘job creators’(2012 theme) are talking to him.

There is a need for high skill workers who will pay taxes but they are also claiming that we have too few low skill workers too, in spite of a historical high food stamp take, and libs complaining endlessly about the disparity in incomes in the USA.

The current system is broken and we cant trust the congress to fix it and we cant trust a POTUS to enforce a fix anyway.
That is the sad state.
