Listed John Birch Society as friends and affiliates and I think it is also a libertarian site
Since The New American is a publication of the John Birch Society, it is probably just a matter of time until posting from it is banned on FR, or possibly the JBS is more responsible these days.
The other drawback of conspiracy and anti-Semitic resources being allowed on a website is that kooks will completely take over unless there are hard restrictions on them.
I guess we’ll find out.
I’m very Pro-Israel and so is The New American and the John Birch Society.
The JBS was demonized in the 1960’s and its belief system that setting up what we now call a “New World Order” was pro-Communist was not right.
But the reality remains that business and political elites are now building a world system of government.
The persistent claim that Pres. Eisenhower was a communist agent is what destroyed the JBS reputation.
Quote: The persistent claim that Pres. Eisenhower was a communist agent is what destroyed the JBS reputation. It was an out-of-context partial quote by Robert Welch in the early 1950s written in a private then-unpublished research paper years before the creation of the John Birch Society.
Welch’s claims about Eisenhower are historical. Welch published “The Politician” in 1963. William F. Buckley and the salvagers of modern conservatism were not mistaken in their attitude toward the JBS.
I have met my congressman Steve Stockman, and after talking to him, I’d bet 5 bucks he is a Freeper.
Anyone want to top my congressman Steve Stockman? Just so he could stick in the eye of Obama and the libs, he raffled off an AR-15!!!!!
Welchs claims about Eisenhower are historical. Welch published The Politician in 1963. William F. Buckley and the salvagers of modern conservatism were not mistaken in their attitude toward the JBS.Robert Welch published his research article because people made a big deal about the out-of-context quote.
Originally intended to be an unpublished letter to friends, "The Politician" became one of the most provocative books in American history. A timely foreword explains the continuing significance of Welch's expose' of the forces that propelled Dwight D. Eisenhower into the presidency.====
A confidential letter from Secretary of Agriculture Ezra Taft Benson said John Birch Society founder Robert Welch was right about the tragic effect of Eisenhower's policies toward Communism.
'You Americans are so gullible. No, you won't accept communism outright, but we'll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you'll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won't have to fight you. Well so weaken your economy until youll fall like overripe fruit into our hands.' "
Its important to remember that the elites do want “world order” and they think its a good idea.
It may not be communist, but it is not the kind of system envisioned by the authors of the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States.
They remove Rubio..
I am not in his district. If you are, please ask him what the hell is going on. I can't see the whole SC ping list, so feel free to ping more SC freepers.
"On the Amendment S.Amdt. 965 to S. 954 (Agriculture Reform, Food, and Jobs Act of 2013): To permit States to require that any food, beverage, or other edible product offered for sale have a label on indicating that the food, beverage, or other edible product contains a genetically engineered ingredient."
Cruz voted against state gov forcing all companies to label ingredients as GMO when they may not have total control of their commodity supply chain. Companies can always label their products as "free of GMO" ingredients, but it's a lot harder to know and certify every genetic source of a blended commodity.
Cruz was right in voting against Bernie (the commie) Sanders' amendment. I call bull on this score.
