President Barack Obama is "deeply concerned" by the Egyptian Armed Forces' decision to remove President Mohamed Morsi from power Wednesday and hopes to see the military quickly return authority to a democratic government.
"The United States is monitoring the very fluid situation in Egypt, and we believe that ultimately the future of Egypt can only be determined by the Egyptian people," Obama said in a statement released nearly four hours after the Egyptian military announced it had removed Morsi from his post. Obama spent part of the afternoon leading a meeting in the Situation Room with members of his national security team, including Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and National Security Adviser Susan Rice, who started her current job on Monday.
"Nevertheless, we are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian Armed Forces to remove President Morsi and suspend the Egyptian constitution. I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsi and his supporters," he continued.

I didn’t even know Barry was back from his African Adventure?
A traitor in every sense.
Little barry bastard boy needs to shut up and take a low profile. At least Morsi was constitutionally eligible to hold the office before making of himself a criminal to be removed ...
Obama shouldn’t be wasting his time making empty statements now, he should be doing everything possible to get our embassy personnel out of Cairo as quickly as possible.
The millions of Egyptians cheering Morsi’s overthrow must despise Obama for putting him into office, so everything should be done to protect our people.
The last thing we need is for another U.S. ambassador to go down Benghazi style and have to listen to Susan Rice lying her way through another full Ginzberg on the talk shows this Sunday.
McCain should be chiming in soon to propose a “no fly zone” and bombing campaign.
Oh, so he reveres constitutions, does he? Funny-he considers ours an impediment. Or....perhaps it’s the image of a military removing a President that gives him a cold, creepy feeling? Hmmm.....It’s how people have removed unwanted ‘rulers’ for millennia.
Obama’s probably scared the same thing can happen to him..oh I wish it could
Of course he is. Along with Zero, Hillary, Rino’s and the liberal media
bet the ranch on the “Arab Spring” with the radical Muslim Brotherhood.
It appears all made terrible decisions.
Yes and I’m deeply concerned this poser is still in the White House!
We need the same thing here.
I hope lots of people in the US take notes...
correct that is what the ghost writer of Obama’s book said
ElBaredai..connected to Soros ICG,
I’m not 100% sure, but I think the W.H. photographer isn’t allowed to snap a photo in the One’s bedroom; the flash would have startled him awake and prob. left a wet spot.
Oh dear (trying hard not to laugh)
Elbaredai used to sit on the board of trustees but left sometime in the last year.

Crisis Group Condemns Detention of Mohamed ElBaradei and Violence against Demonstrators
Brussels | 28 Jan 2011
The International Crisis Group strongly condemns the detention of Mohamed ElBaradei in Cairo today.
Media reports coming from the Egyptian capital say that ElBaradei, who serves on Crisis Groups Board of Trustees, was prevented by the authorities from leaving a mosque after prayers this afternoon. He is apparently still being held, as the entire country now faces severe unrest with street protests building in opposition to the regime.
His detention has no credible basis. It also will not serve Egypts interests at this critical juncture, says Crisis Group President Louise Arbour. In a situation as tense as this, repression and abuse can only further inflame the situation. Rather than resort to repression, the authorities should heed demands of the population for dramatic political, social and economic transformation.
Crisis Group calls on the Egyptian authorities to release Mohamed ElBaradei immediately.
In addition, Crisis Group calls on the government to cease using violence against its own people and allow peaceful demonstrations to take place.
There is a much deeper manipulation going on here than people want to accept.
agree, when you can rally 1.5 mill that can’t be a military coup.
