So while it is nice that RUSH gives kudos to FR, it would be better still if he backed it up with some serious cash. Heavens knows he can afford it. You know, it's quite possible that he DOES, but that he also adheres to the New Testament's instruction to give your alms in secret.

Who CARES if Rush "makes money" because of things he reads on FR but doesn't credit to FR? What difference does it make? And if Rush started crediting FR, then this site would be overwhelmed with blowhards who post ONLY in the hopes that Rush will read, see -- and credit -- their posts. I'm with you a 100% on this... Thanks.

Yes, thank you -- I'm in good company! I kind of think JMouse is on the same page as you and I in a way. JMouse makes some excellent points! Rush is no doubt very much indebted to insight on what folks are thinking as gained from FR. I know that he gets zillions of emails every day, so many he can't possibly have time to read them, and also, those emails represent the thoughts of his listeners, where as FR represents the thoughts of "conservative" (a very loose term) who go well beyond his listenership. It appears very much that FR helps him keep a finger on the pulse of conservative thought.

You’re in great company - - success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan... Nice that so many people are proud of what real conservatives are doing... Rush, Jim, Santelli, thousands of freepers and lurkers - and many other good Americans gave rebirth to the Tea Party....

Thanks, I have the utmost respect for RUSH and have no problem with his amassing wealth via his instruction of conservative principles, morals and ideas. I just sincerely hope he in his own quiet way financially supports FR. The Lord knows FR needs it. One area in which I wish RUSH would step up to the plate is in the area of action. Talk is all well and good but the reality is the state of America is way beyond just talk. For example, look at Glenn Beck. While I do not agree with him on some things (his cult of Mormonism) he hasn't just talked about the problems facing the country he has taken action on numerous occasions and has engaged his entire audience in taking action as well to the tune of hundreds of thousands if not over a million people gathering in Washington and calling, writing their congress critters as well as attending Town Hall meetings throughout America to voice their concerns and position on numerous topics. Although many of those in power and the media totally ignored our valid positions an concerns and did what they wanted to against the wishes of their constituents: Obama Death Care is a prime example, they rejected the will of the American people at their own peril and many were voted out of office as a result. GB has also done a massive amount of research and written numerous books that have gone way beyond the "surface" of the news story and has gotten to the heart of the problem and provided valid, viable and reasonable solutions. Sadly, our elected officials have ignored them but that is not GB's fault. My point is GB is going above and beyond the usual talk to address these pressing issues and has elevated his audience in becoming better, PRO ACTIVE citizens. RUSH has massive influence and could do the same if not more but it appears he has never been willing to step up to the plate and go beyond just talk.
A great example of where RUSH could make and impact if he chose to ACT instead of just talk would be to contact President George Bush and try to talk some sense into him regarding his asinine support of the illegal alien amnesty bill. For President Bush to support this bill which undermines the Constitution of the United States along with the rule of law and which rewards wholesale lawlessness and places the well being and supposed "rights" of illegal alien law breakers above those of the CITIZENS of the United States is unconscionable and contrary to the will of the vast majority of Americans.
RUSH should also pull out the stops and use all of his political and personal clout along with the considerable clout of his audience to oppose this bill. He certainly took action when his personal interests were being attacked and sponsors were dropping him because he told the truth regarding the slutty conduct of the woman crying for free birth control. His audience came to his rescue and put massive pressure on his advertisers not to drop him and severely financially punished via boycott those who dumped him (we haven't bought "Sherries Berries" or Pro-Flowers since and we NEVER WILL AGAIN!) to the point where a number of former advertisers BEGGED him to take them back, some to no avail. Well, something more important than RUSH's financial well being is at stake, the very future of America is hanging by a slim thread and if this nefarious Illegal Alien AMNEST Bill passes, we are done, the country as we know it and as it has existed from the founding of the nation is over! And while RUSH and a number of wealthy can move to safer, securer countries and locations when the poop inevitably hits the fan, his audience and c0onservitives at large and their families will be stuck here in the mess as permanent second-or third-class citizens.
Like, I said, the time for just "talk" is over. Talk is cheap and in reality ACTIONS speak louder than words because actions, not talk solves problems.

The only emails Rush reads after they have been screened by his staff, are from those who subscribe to his 24/7 news letter.
As for FR, it's nothing more than a convenient marketplace of news articles that he can pick and choose from for his show prep. Hannity does the same.......
As for actually reading the comments here, he doesn't have the time nor would he be influenced in his opinions if he actually did read the comments.

“Freeping” is part of the general ‘net lexicon because of our effectiveness, though perhaps it could also be called “brownsfanning” or “subgeniusing” for the other effective early practioners. “Freeping” sounds better...though the finest hour was still Memogate.

My $.02...The FR Oct 1998 "March For Justice" was FR's finest hour. >4,000 of Freepers assembling/marching/protesting against the 'crimes' of Clinton. The Speakers..our Jim Robinson, Alan Keyes, Larry Klayman, John Armour (Freeper...Congressman Billybob) Rep Ken Barr, Ann Coulter, Gary Aldrich, et al (all on C-SPAN tape). Onsite interviews conducted by Matt Drudge, Lucianne Goldberg, Jonah Goldberg.
IIRC...Rep Henry Hyde stated (House Managers Dinner) that that event, that protest emboldened the House Managers for forwarding Impeachment (indictment).
