CAIRO An adviser to Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi said Wednesday that a military coup was underway, that tanks were on the move outside Cairo and that communication with the president had been cut off. As a military deadline came and went for Morsi to step aside, the army took control of state television, and boisterous crowds opposed to the regime cheered and danced in Tahrir Square.

Well, Mookie, maybe you should have thought this through a little better when you rammed Sharia onto a population that didn’t want it, and ignored the fact that 80 million people have a different set of priorities, like food and jobs.
Those rug burns on the MB’s foreheads make good targets.
If Egypt ejects their Islamists and Turkey follows, we might have a real Arab Spring.
I agree. See tag line.
Those rug burns on the MB’s foreheads make good targets.
Independence Day .... On the Fourth!
Just to be sure....all righto.
.....We have a WINNER!!!!
And the Arab Spring begins its new season....
This will continue to be a feature of most Islamic countries for perhaps decades to come, and the United States can be a player one way or another on this, or take the role of disinterested observer (?). One way to take part would be to support one faction or another of this bloody internecine combat, shifting support to the side that is for the moment getting short shrift of the battle, or to clandestinely support BOTH (or if more, ALL) sides in the conflict, being their supplier of arms and war material, or by mounting our own expeditionary force. The last is the very worst of options. All the factions would forget their animosities with each other and turn on the Americans with a ferocity unmatched by wild beasts.
But if the US were to withdraw and simply form a perimeter around the kill zone, to keep the battle from spreading to uninvolved bystanders, perhaps this is the better option all around. Meanwhile, the rest of the world’s economy is adjusted to not NEED the diminished flow of crude oil from that region, which cuts the fighting factions double - both in cutting off their funds to continue the fight, and eventually depletes their twisted desire to build a Worldwide Caliphate, as they sink back into truly Third World conditions.
There is a way to play this smart. But do not count upon the Current Regime in the White Hut to pursue that course, or even recognize what that course is.
“If Egypt ejects their Islamists and Turkey follows, we might have a real Arab Spring.”
Yes. I only wonder who is waiting in the wings to take power. It doesn’t seem like there is a leader among the Egyptian protesters that really stands out.
Does anyone have any idea as to who this may end up being?
So our newly installed resident goes to the University of Cairo in his first official overseas trip and dictates to Mubarek to release Morsi from jail.
Morsi is released and all heel ensues. Then blitzartig elections are held and the only political party that is organized well enough is the islamist MB.
Then they write a new constitution guaranteeing control of the party in future elections and control over the entire society.
Looks as though Obama’s foreign policy is up in flames. And John Kerry will not save Obama’s ass from this disaster.
Mr. Obama was seen kissing and hugging his Nobel Peace Prize...oblivious to what he started in Egypt. We live in a crazy world. Michelle is now proud.
He's got his "legacy" to think about, dontcha know...

Yes, drill for oil until we are once again masters of our own energy needs, then tell the MFer’s in Riyadah to start eating sand and, wash it down what’s left of theirs.
As far as I am concerned, that whole damned area isn’t worth one more penny of our treasury and not a drop of our nation’s blood! Sorry that Israel is in the middle of it, but that’s for them to sort out. Support them, but no troops! Besides, the Israeli’s are able to defend themselves if we would just stop supporting their enemies.
After back to back revolutions, who would want the job? Whoever is next better be focused on jobs.
Are you nutz? This is going off exactly according to the script by Obama, Klintoon and Kerry, look at the smiles on their faces and just ask them.
Didn’t Obama threaten to withhold arms sold to Egypt’s military if they did this? LOL.

It’s beyond our Messiah’s control...
