Al says many things, some of them even have a nodding acquaintance with reality.

The measure would bolster the employment pool for Minnesota's agricultural industry, particularly dairy farming, as well as for high-tech and medical firms, Franken said.

Franken and McCain are nuts.

Here's the truth - BECAUSE most Hispanics who come here for work are hard working - when they become 'legal' they move up the American ladder... which is good. BUT it means that the jobs at the bottom aren't being filled again. The system McCain and Franken propose won't work. For it to work we'd have to have an endless supply of illegals that are then made legal to make room for the next bunch of illegals.

Maybe Franker's Dairy farmers need to start paying more - or having more sons - or raising prices or something but the rest of us are sick of paying the price for their 'cheap labor'.

Bingo! That’s their plan. A never ending stream of illegal invaders willing to work for nothing. A perminant under class.

The bill includes new border security measures and a 13-year path to citizenship amnesty for the nation's 11 million God knows how many illegal immigrants."

Corrected factual errors in last sentence.

Has anybody had their fill of these moronic, duplicitous politcal rats? I have. The likes of Franken, McCain, Grahm, etc. over the years selling to us what thier global corporate overlords tell them. I’m thoroughly disgusted. What they hell good has any of their great plans achieved. All the great free trade agreements. What has that done for the people of the US?
We need a Tahir Square here in Washington. Time to tell these rats R and D to leave or we will take them out of DC. Forever!!!

Um, there is a built in way to have that ‘endless supply’ ... all the noise about border enforcement is kabuki theater since just to begin to implement is written as being finished, thus the Ted the swimmer option is resting upon the idiocy of mc cain etal republicants. As soon as anything is started it can then be stopped by the democrips in order to leave the borders wide open still, in perpetuity.

There's an endless supply of third world people who would love to come here. It's sad we can't accommodate all the people of the world - but we can't. Farmers need to charge was it cost to produce the food - not expect us to destroy our country in the long run - so they can be helped in the short run.

Maybe the Newspaper industry could allow illegals from India to come in and write for their papers for $10,000 a year. It would cut cost and allow papers to continue longer... Then the Indians could be made citizens and move on to high paying jobs and a new group could be brought in to work for nothing.

There's enough educated people in India that this scam could go on forever. OR places like the New York Times and Washington Post could hire Americans and pay them. Of course the MSM would be able to figure out the scam if it was their jobs on the line...

Al should go to Cottonwood, MN and talk to the locals about illegal immigrants. In February 2008 an illegal immigrant ran a stop sign and plowed into a school bus killing 4 students.

While the entire medical industry is busy laying off techs, engineers, scientists and sales reps. Yeah, this will bolster the pool of uneducated morons willing to do a half-assed job for half the wages.

Just don’t expect quality work out of these people, I’ve seen too many bad components from Mexican manufacturers in the medical device manufacturing business to think otherwise. You life will now depend on a heavily regulated marketplace with heavily regulated life saving devices that are built by someone who doesn’t care whether or not they work as advertised, just so long as they make numbers in the immediate term, to hell with the consequences I guess.

I struggle to find a more happy idiot than al franken!
