I read about that one on "deadmalls.com" a few months ago. IIRC, it was most recently sold for around 1% (yes, one percent) of its former assessed value. That tells me that there is absolutely no hope of that area staging an economic comeback. It is effectively behind enemy lines.
The demographics in Antioch have steadily been changing from white blue collar lower middle class to black and Hispanic lower class with a LOT of gang activity. The last time I was there I was in the area and had a broken tool to exchange at Sears and there were many “teens” hanging around.
