Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark O’Mara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witness–remember, the State’s witness–that all but completely guts the State’s charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. I cannot believe they left those parents in the courtroom to shake their heads and roll their eyes (and chew gum). Pathetic.
It is 83 degrees here and very humid. Maybe the A/C is not very cool in there. CNN is so rediculous. This guy is very confident, eloquent and looks calm and friendly. Tracy Martin is shaking his head so I can tell this guy is effective.

Yep. There’s testimony that the street name changes nearby. BDLR is intentionally confusing house number with street name, and the defense needs to clear that up.
They also need to clarify that there are very small cameras that are, in fact, used by police officers. They’re smaller than a tie tac, can be attached to clothing, and the cable can be hidden in clothing, so all the BS about the improbability of Trayvon having taped the event is just that... BS.

Of course he did his follow up, that’s his job, i was pointing out it was the pros that asked for special permission to do a re-re direct because it was their case that got hurt due to the witness.

Good point. But to be clear, they said the notion that TM went from a teenager buying ice tea and candy to a murderous thug, making those sorts of comments, was just too far fetched. They used the word “lie” or “liar”.
IIRC, MOM remarked that the cops didn’t use gloves when they took Zim’s gun out of the holster. Did they actually look for DNA? No one was using gloves...they were rolling bodies over...asking different people for cr** for TM’s wound..
CNN is a bit biased, and by a bit I mean almost totally biased. Yesterday out of the 4 people talking about the trial, only one was “pro” Zimmerman, and he was black.
One thing I can’t understand today is how Zimmermans “friend”, with lots of law enforcement experience, never told Zimmerman to shut the hell up and get a lawyer.
Talking to LE with no lawyer is almost NEVER a good idea.

Well going by some of the wacko interpretation of why MoM does a cross on FR, it’s only when a witness really hurts the defense, so obviously this dude really hurt the defense case if MoM is doing a cross./sarc
