Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark O’Mara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witness–remember, the State’s witness–that all but completely guts the State’s charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. Back in the day, a gentleman worked at being a good shot...or he would be a dead gentleman (actually, that's just talk, there weren't really that many duels).
The idea behind dueling is that only cowards and knaves insulted the honor of a real gentleman...and they would run away at the very idea of being shot.
Probably a primitive way of settling differences, but we Georgians love our guns.
They must depose him before he appears on the stand. Since he did the original interview of DD ( and didn’t notify LEO of her existence —/ in front of TMs mother this locking her testimony into lies/perjury)
Witness tampering — sanction s including loss of license and his own perjury are what’s in the works.
Hope he fries for how he used DD. She was a minor and not the sharpest knife. Her manipulative , angry attitude and body language are characteristics of an abused child. As such she will agree and/ or say anything the controller wants to not invite their displeasure He used that.
She did try to tell the truth as best she could on the stand by telling she didn’t want to hurt Ts mom. The CAC. N. and other things that were not in crumb original manipulated statements

One can barely post anymore without being attacked just for having a simple opinion.
When the judge is REALLY going to show her bias is when they ask for a directed verdict and she refuses.

I do not want a directed verdict. When the Defense begin their case expect them to be ahead. Want the final score to be such a massacre that there is no doubt that TM was a thug who got what he deserved and Z was indeed the good guy !

I wonder if William Lowndes Yancy is related to William Jones Lowndes for whom Lowndes County Georgia is named (Valdosta is the county seat, a few counties over from me).
My great-great and great-great-great grandfathers were State Representatives in GA back in that period (of course, some of my relatives were probably horse thieves, hopefully not my great grand daddies...but ain't it all fun?).
We are told vengeance is the Lords. With that in mind prayers have been that His wrath reign down on the evil and that justice be done, the righteous be upheld and His glory be extolled!
The more that is exposed the more this appears to be a battle between good and evil! Bigotry by any race is evil !

I am just a long time lurker and don't really qualify for even a simple opinion...but hang in there. These are tough times (emotional times) and even freepers get carried away.

Crump claimed DD was a minor, but RJ (the witness who took the stand) was 18 when she was interviewed. Crump's publicized description of the girl/woman who gave the interview (referred to as Trayvon's 16-year-old girlfriend) bears no relation to the witness who took the stand. It's unclear whether BC was describing an actual girlfriend who might be a friend of RJ, or whether the 16-year-old girlfriend was invented from whole cloth, but I find it hard to imagine any way he could plausibly have believed his claims were true.
Incidentally, some aspects of what happened were initially misreported in the media, and there are some aspects of RJ's story which agree with the erroneous reporting but not with what actually occurred. One clear example is the fact that RJ claimed that TM said was going to get some "iced tea". In fact, the product he purchased was watermelon drink, but the design of the can is similar to iced tea cans. Unless one believes TM would habitually say "iced tea" when he meant watermelon drink, it would seem odd that RJ would say TM was buying something he was erroneously reported as having purchased, rather than what he actually bought. It's also interesting that in trial, she changed her statements to saying he told her he'd bought some Arizona.
Another nice aspect of RJ's testimony is that she heard the sound of wet grass, but was unable to say what wet grass sounds like. Such a statement makes it seem as though "wet grass" was something she knew she should mention, but wasn't something she actually heard on the night of the shooting.

Lean consists of three basic ingredients -- codeine, a soft drink, and candy. If his Facebook postings are to be believed, Trayvon had been using Lean since at least June 2011.
On June 27, 2011, Trayvon asks a friend online, "unow a connect for codien?" He tells the friend that "robitussin nd soda" could make "some fire ass lean." He says, "I had it before" and that he wants "to make some more." On the night of February 26, if Brandy had some Robitussin at home, Trayvon had just bought the mixings for one "fire ass lean" cocktail.

Trayvon pays for his purchases. He then appears to point to an item behind the counter, but the clerk seems to reject that option. Trayvon turns from the counter with a couple of dollar bills still in his hand.

Trayvon leaves the 7-11, but we do not see him walk in front of the store window back towards Brandy's home.

Three squirrely young men enter the 7-11, all of them with their faces concealed in part or in full. The clerk had to have been nervous. One of the three (Curly) takes off his hat and shakes out his long, curly dark hair. He is likely either white or Hispanic, or, like Zimmerman, a "white Hispanic."
